Well Parker wins because Povetkin isn’t using PED’a like he did vs Takam and is older while Parker has probably improved since Takam fight.

joe really ant that good. thought he lost to ruiz and arguably hugh too. seen no signs hes improved. hes been worse since carlos t even though you wouldve expected a young guy in his frst serous step up to get better.

Parker beats the extremely overrated Povetkin.

It wouldn't be easy but he wins 115-113 or 116-112 range.
Povetkin at this point is not significantly better than Ruiz.

Afterwards people would say Povetkin is old and Joe didn't look good winning the fight but he would still be marching toward the inevitable Joshua and/or Wilder showdown.

pov is still better than parker. pov puts his shots together much tighter and is obviously better schooled. showed more high end power to even if it does seem lesser in last two fights. but parker never showed power against anyone notable. pov was an olympic gold medalist for a reason. he has one of the strongest resumes of active hws over the last few years. some ppl do overrate him but hes still solid.

parker arguably lost his last two fights. and not at a high level. obese ruiz isnt much either though its nice to think he is so parker doesnt look so bad. ppl can knock shutting out hammer but ruiz only just got past liakhovichs corpse. parkers just not all that much im afraid. its the paper title that really makes him a standout name in the division.

The gold medal was in 2004 but you go ahead and think that medal is relevant now as he approaches 40 and was unable to stop a weak opponent last time out.
He hasn't shown the power his last few times out because he's fading.

I'd still favor Povetkin in that match, but I'd be rooting for Parker though, and I'd prefer to be wrong in my thinking on the matchup
