ADONIS STEVENSON V BADOU JACK
Evening lads,
Exactly one year since Jack had that war with DeGale rumours are that Stevenson and Jack could tango sometime this year, who do you have ?

Stevenson's reign is an embarrassment, it must take some doing to dodge top opponents for so long. I'll be rooting for Jack.

If jack can stay away early I think he’s got the beating of Stevenson

It’s tough to pick against Jack against most likely opposition really, he keeps managing to step it up just enough.
I remember when he was thought of as being in the position that Truax is in today, but he really is the epitome of the cliche about a boxer improving the instant he becomes a champion and he has grown into a genuinely formidable force.

Stevenson won’t fight Jack, or anyone half decent. Biggest ducker out there.
Re: ADONIS STEVENSON V BADOU JACK
In true Kevin Keegan style, I'll tell you, honestly, I would love it if Jack beat Stevenson. Love it. It'd be up there with Taylor making Ohara quit.
If, and unfortunately it is a big if, Jack can avoid that left hand, particularly early, and get inside on Stevenson I think he'd give him a really tough night. It's one thing knocking over over-matched opponents but it's another going into the trenches with a fighter like Jack. Against Thomas Williams the challengers' defence was ultimately too poor and Adonis' power was too great, but Williams was able to land plenty when they exchanged in close quarters. And Jack is one of the best inside fighters out there so you'd fancy him to be much smarter up close.

Stevenson is a thunderous puncher, but Jack appears to be too complete a boxer for him now. A points win for Jack if it happens in the first half of 2018.
Agree with those pouring cold water over Stevenson's reign. He's become another Lucien Bute type....beating good opposition but staying away from the elite word champs. Bute did the same until he met Froch and we also saw what happened then....ruthlessly exposed. At least the other Canadian star David Lemieux is more than prepared to step in with the very best.

After 4 rounds it's Jacks fight.,
Re: ADONIS STEVENSON V BADOU JACK
I read a story about Stevenson, did some time for pimping out girls, sounded like a wrongun, bashed them up proper, imprisoned them, kept all their cash
Re: ADONIS STEVENSON V BADOU JACK
Just because Stevenson was a scumbag, and because he has taken the easy money of recent, doesn’t mean “Badou Jack is too much for him.” Doesn’t necessarily work out that way. Other fighters, like Joe Calzaghe and Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, had terrible career slumps that they were able to overcome in style. I do hope it’s not too late for Adonis, though.
Since winning fighter of the year, Adonis has allowed his reputation to plummet - but I think he’s still an outstanding fighter. He’s really frustrated me; I don’t t really look to check out his fights anymore. But I’m certain he has the talent and tools to beat Jack, in a probably exciting fight.

Re: ADONIS STEVENSON V BADOU JACK
Stevenson hasn’t had a meaningful fight really for a good few years.
He’s getting on. His powers could of deteriorated, he just hasn’t fought the level of opposistion for the cracks to show.
Jack. Under-estimated his entire career. No weaknesses. Good in every aspect. As previously stated, Jack avoids that big-left you’d back him to get enough rounds in the bag.
Could be a close one though. Stevenson isn’t the type of fighter you can shut-out. Also Jack isn’t fleet of foot so there’s a good chance Stevenson catches and hurts him early.
Tough one to call. But gun to my head I say Jack points around 116-112.
