With the other British Featherweights doing what they are doing it's pointless pissing about so I like them taking this fight. It's gonna be a difficult climb back up if he loses but boy is he gonna be in a better bargaining position if he does somehow win. He'll have to look a hell of a lot better than he's looked since stepping up in weight tho.

I like Quigg a lot and feel sorry for him with some of the stick he gets about not being that bright etc , wtf should that matter about him being a fighter ??
Totally agree tho' he has looked poor of late and seems to take so much punishment himself .
Hope he manages to pull this off .

Can't see Hearn stumping up the cash to get Valdez over here.
Quigg will be travelling if this fight gets made...

His recent fight with Simion was hard to watch. He took a real pasting, even though he got the win, he can't have too many fights like that. I hope his performances with roach improves greatly. Needs big improvements on his defense and jab.

Why not Wes?
Eddie is never shy on bringing in guys to fight his lot. Or do you think this is the sort of match suitable for his fledgling US division of Matchroom to host?

valdez is a rising mex american name for top rank, who are no little fish to eddie and have that espn deal in the us (it says fight would be on espn) i doubt they have it in the uk. imo he probably means more to tr than quigg does to mr and they should have the means to bring quigg over.

id think itd be us but lets see.

Arum doesn't tend to let his champions fight elsewhere especially now with his tv dates to fill.
Quigg doesnt generate enough interest in the UK to justify bringing the champion over.
It'll be stateside on a top rank card I reckon...

Good luck Scott, you are gonna need it. I like Valdez, he's the real deal.
I also remember seeing the Selby documentary when he sparred Valdez, Lee looked lost in there.

Be a bit of a shootout this one. Quigg has looked easier to hit in his last two fights, which could spell bad news against Valdez. Nothing to suggest Quigg has anything but a sturdy chin however. I think it goes the distance, great all action fight which quigg (probably) loses on points.

It's at StubHub Center in Cali. Top Rank already announced Valdez would fight there, the venue and date was already booked in November.

On the plus side, Quigg is training at Wild Card gym anyway, so he doesn't need to travel.

Shame I don't still live there. I'd be all over this.

He does, in boxing terms he has a real spiteful way about him. I really think he takes Quigg out even though he's never been stopped before.
