Quotes your not likely to see anytime soon.

Post by stujones »

Have contributed to a thread which has generated alot of posts on a different forum (by that forums standards).

Just a bit of fun, but lets have some "quotes" from boxers/managers (maybe even boxrec posters if you are feeling mischievious) that we are unlikely to here in the near future.

Here were some of mine from the other forum.

Resondo Alvarez - "I love Jorge Arce"

Jorge Arce - "I love Resondo Alvarez"

James Toney - "I would rank myself about 4 or 5 at the moment at Heavyweight".

James Toney - "Valuev might be a bit too big for me"

James Toney at McDonalds

Waiter - Do you want fries.

Toney "No thanks, I am on a diet, but thanks for asking you kind gentleman".

Ricardo Mayorga "I hope myself and Oscar have a good clean contest, and may the best man win".

Danny Williams a week or so before any fight "My weight is up at the minute, I haven't trained properly and I'm closer to 20 stone than 18".

Butterbean "I train for a hard 12 round contest".

Tim Witherspoon "I'm a millionaire and don't need to fight".

Mike Tyson "I was so pleased when I recieved my honourary doctrate in business and finance at Harvard".

Paul Malignagi in a nightclub - "check out the baps on that bird"

The last one was a joke, but I reckon everyone must have wandered which way he swings, not thats its important.

I had a gut-busting laugh on several occasions reading that lot. It was good I doubt I'll try to add anything to this topic as that is worthy of a gold-star. :TU: Brilliant my man, thank you for that. :TU:

best wishes,

Mike Tyson:

In mathematics, the Pythagorean theorem or Pythagoras's theorem is a relation in Euclidean geometry between the three sides of a right triangle. In the West, the theorem is named after the Greek mathematician Pythagoras, who is credited with the first abstract proof.

The theorem is as follows:

In any right triangle, the area of the square whose side is the hypotenuse (the side of a right triangle opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the areas of the squares on the other two sides.

If we let c be the length of the hypotenuse and a and b be the lengths of the other two sides, the theorem can be expressed as the following equation:

A2 + B2 = C2

This equation provides a simple relation between the three sides of a right triangle so that if the lengths of any two sides are known, the length of the third side can be found. A generalization of this theorem is the law of cosines, which allows the computation of the length of the third side of any triangle, given the lengths of two sides and the size of the angle between them.

Marvin Hagler: I think this one's definitely gonna go the distance.

Matt Skelton: It took a while to learn, but the Ali Shuffle really worked for me tonight.

Now for a nice easy target

James Toney (oh the possibilities): GET IN MY BELLY!! I am a fat mess and a disgrace to the heavyweight crown. It was great just to be nominated, but to win 6-pack of the year!!

Nicolai Valuev: he too ugly to be champ, the world's champ should be pretty like me.

Jeff Lacy: honey, i forget to punch.

Floyd Mayweather: Manchester here i come!

Jorge Arce: Thanx to these new protein shakes, im coming down in weight to give danny williams a fair fight.

Ricky Hatton: Thanx to the new poundsaver menu, im coming down in weight to give danny williams a fair fight.

James Toney: thanx to the new poundsaver menu, i can now afford liposuction.

Gerald Mclellan (sorry if im crossing the line): how much is that doooooooggy in the window?

Zab Judah: All the true boxing fans know...... that my pride is too big to admit im a loser.

Audley harrison: I've lived up to all the hype.

Brian Kenny: Thats it Floyd, you and me right now, lets go!

Peter Buckley: Im just biding my time, Floyd has to fight me soon.

By the way did anyone realise that buckley has lost 222 bouts, and hes only been knocked out 8 times! defensive genius!! He must have a head the size of a pea or something.

Gr8 idea for a topic btw, chuckles all round.
