At least andre ward defended his titles to prove he was the best at his divisions not just beat the champ then snort a load of coke to get banned so he didnt have to face wlad again, fury is soooooo overrated its unbelievable, outside of wlad who else has he fought to make him the best in the world? When buster douglas beat tyson i didnt once think buster douglas was the best heavyweight in the world or ehen haseem rahman beat kewis i didnt think he was then the best heavyweight, tyson will get put to kip if he gets in with wilder or joshua or even povetkin,he is a sittin duck

Here, Here - lets not forget when the scores were being announced Klitchsko was still the betting favourite. Glenn McCory gave Fury the 12th (a round Klitchsko clearly won) so he could announce that he thinks Fury has done it. It was can't fight vs won't fight and I still have big questions over whether Fury won that fight - it was doing next to nothing, vs doing nothing.

I aint see Hughie Fury vs Joseph Parker but people laugh (right) at the "shades of Ali" of Mick Hennessy, but what would have happened had Hughie got the nod and then went into excile - would that performance all of a sudden be championed.

Agreed. You'd think it was 12-0 to Fury according to what some people say. Both did nothing, Fury was fighting in Germany and did not go and take the fight. I'm really surprised they didn't give it to Wlad and I would have had him favorite after the final bell myself.

The problem is that the fight was so shockingly poor that nobody has re-watched it.

Boggy Man would be a good nickname for Fury, on his return he'll be moving like he's stuck in quicksand.

The 12th wasn't clearly a Klitschko round.

It was close.

Exactly. good point, I woud be interested to know if anyone has watched the fight more than once?

I've watched it 3 times. Once live. Then with my son. And a 3rd time recently to see if it was as bad as everyone said

As boring as watching paint dry.
But I'm still convinced Fury won without any doubt

I dont think that was in doubt really. I only watched it once and the result was about right, if it was a Johnny Nelson v Carlos DeLeon result it wouldnt have surprised me.

yes the 12th was for wlad. i remember watt used to give a lot of those rounds too, so hed have the winner he wanted. like in sturm vs murray where sturm dominated the 12th and hurt murray but watt scored it even so he had murray as winner and then could say murray was unlucky

Are we talking about the same Andre Ward here? Yeah, he's a very talented boxer - but he's had seven fights in the past six years.
And I'm going from after he beat Froch in the Super Six final. He's hardly a template of an active fighter.

To be fair to SOG, he had legal problems and was an incredible boxer. So much rougher and tougher than people realise.

He beat froch then took on, at that time, the best light heavyweight in the world in chad dawson and knocked him the fcuk out, then has some mandatorys beats them then beats smith and takes on the most feared man at light heavyweight and beats not once but twice,in those 7 fights your talking about he fights 3 unbeaten fighters and beats them, ward had a lot of inactivity through promotor issues. My point was for the guy who branded fury the ward of tge heavyweights were fury is far from the ward of the heavyweights cause ward defended his supermiddleweight titles then his lightheavy titles against the guy who gave him a close fight, tell me this has fury done that? Then he is nowere near the ward of the heavys, ward is a talented boxer and that was what i was getting at,you cant compare the two, fury won the titles and went on a white powder bender, ward won the titles and defended them :TU:
