shohjahon ergashev: check out this josh taylor threat

Post by jamamb »

this guy looked every bit legit beating the sh!t out of favoured 18-0 usa prospect sunny fredrickson. outboxed him and sharply countered, then bullied the f@ck out of sonny when sonny was hurt. bounced around nicely and had real thud to his shots

140 isnt strong and he can do well there. i mean ppl already hype josh taylor as the divisons man when his best win was over a prospect with very few amateur fights

also has quite the pre fight outfit :yay:

not to say hed beat jt or is more promising, but just to get some more guys on the radar of the ppl who seem to automatically pick taylor to run through everyone at 140

josh was my 2017 prospect of the year and i think hed win the ibf now if he faced that lipinets paper champ who garcia will bash. but i do think a lot of ppl are getting ahead of themselves. just automatically saying hed bash everyone else. up like 30-5 in the poll vs broner.

hes good but there are other guys out there. and like i said ohara was a prospect with hardly any amateur background and vasquez was a career lw whod been on better days. imo vasquez was even with taylor after 6.

i saw this guy and was very impressed. if ppl can go nuts over josh beating a prospect i think this guy deserves attention. lets see what he can do. adds some interest to a division that needs more of it.

He looks proper spiteful. Reminded me of how mayorga bullied Forrest in their first fight.

Looks like a real handful. Stopped all his opponents and most very early.

What is his amateur record like?

amateur background was 250 fights and on the uzbek national team (a very strong team) for several years. cant find a whole lot of specifics but he really looked the part.

As a history buff, I can also say he has the best worst nickname I've seen in quite some time.

He was a conqueror, either hero or villain depending on where you come from. Also known as Timur, and the reason why Timur and Tamerlane are such popular names in that area of the world still.
