Chris Eubank Jr. vs Goerge Groves

Post by IronFrost »

Who wins?

I realy like Eubank. His style is good thing for boxing. His fights are not boring.

He got so much better after that MD lost against Joe Saunders.

I think he is going win against Groves.

I would like see Eubank Jr vs Saunders rematch - probably wont never happen anyway

eubank wins. i really like him. hes got his own style and attitude :bag:

but this is a big test against a top smw. groves is deffo his hardest puncher and groves can box and move in a way that might cause some issues for eubanks footwork

eubank to come throug the test and win by stoppage

I am looking forward to this one. Can't make any predictions, but leaning slightly towards Eubank.

Really fancy Eubank here. His pressure and work rate will be all wrong for Groves. Groves is a decent counter puncher though so Eubank has to be smart. Can't wait for this fight.

In my opinion the weight of Chris Eubank wil be the reason he loses. George Groves cutting down and re-hydrating up to 180/190 pounds will make him to big and too strong for Eubank. However it's a close fight - could see either fighter winning.

The two questions we need to answer in this fight are:
1.) Is groves over the hill now with his hard fights he has had?
2.) Does Eubank have a good enough chin to keep a puncher off him?

I‘d say George because of his jab, experience and size. Eubank is a handful though, so it could be interesting. I‘m not convinced by the -Eubank stops him late - school of thought. Who knows what he‘ll be like down the stretch.

Eubank still throws silly shots, he will have major success early but I expect him to walk onto something huge. He won't have daddy's chin.

Eubank on the up and learning from every fight while Groves is probably fighting for his future in attracting the big fights... This is the sort of recipe that makes for very good and entertaining fight..
Logic says Eubank but my heart wants Groves...
Whoever wins would be a good little future fight with Saunders after he's fought ggg or canelo... :bag:

I wouldn't say Groves is strong. He is big, though.

I can't wait for this, and i have tickets, the last live fight i went to was Groves v Froch 1 so it's been a while. Eubank win for me,too much pressure for Groves and he'll be stopped late on,exhausted and on his feet.

I really want to go to this fight. I reckon Eubank Jr will do him. I really like Groves though. Beating DeGale was just the best ever.

In terms of domestic clashes at world level - this truly is a great fight. Genuinely hoped the fight would be in London and thought that made sense, guess however the larger size of the Manchester Arena made it seem like a more desirable venue. Great fight though, and one pivotal for the future of the super middle-weight division.

Truly a very exciting match. It's a tough one to call but I'm going to go with the younger man. If he gets past Groves he can be taken very seriously.

Christ is that really just a year between them :o ?

I practically think of Groves and Junior as a different generation.

this is gonna be a great fight I'm really looking forward to it. groves has the experience and is also a very skilful fighter so I'm gonna go with him but there is no reason why jr cant win.
