Kownacki vs Iago Kiladze

Post by asdfjkl »

Seems like a nice match to me, 13-0 vs 26-1, I expect Kownacki to win in about 5 rounds.
Kownacki KOed Szpilka in 4 recently.

Yes not bad. The one defeat coming against Youri Kalenga who's a Cruiserweight who has mixed it at a good level. Your prediction seems reasonable to me.

He stopped Fat Pedro quicker than Usyk. Not a bad win. Both dudes pretty unproven. Kownacki is an obvious favorite, though. Kalenga is a big puncher, but getting squished in 2 rounds isn't a good look.

I like the pollock. hge needs to do some sit ups, but then again so do i. this pollock can really punch.
love to see him KO big baby boy Miller from Brooklyn.

IMO, this is not a particularly important fight. I would expect any top 15 heavyweight to steamroll Kiladze. Although, Kownacki has not beaten many fighters as good as Kiladze, so he might actually get a little bit of relevant practice from this fight.

Pollock? ... He's a fish?

Haven't Kownacki and Miller previously refused to fight each other on the grounds they are good buddies?

This is a nothing fight for Kownacki and a real backward step after beating Szpilka. He really should end this in a couple of rounds and fight someone decent next...

Kiladze was knocking down Huck on sparrings in past, but his problem is that he's very chinny

It's a stay busy fight. Kow's stock soared when he beat Szpilka. Non stop rapid fire punches from all angles. Yeah him and the Big Baby are friends, but they could still fight each other some day. They're not brothers like V and W. And like both of them say, it's not a body beautiful body building contest they're competing in!

He waited six months for it though, not exactly busy...

He's been taking about six months between fights. At that rate they'll start saying he's old before he even gets started, but he's only 28 now. The Klitschkos were fighting every couple of weeks at the beginning. The old time fighters fought much more often still. Jack Dempsey had over 60 fights in his first four years.
