Tyson Fury and his underrated perfomances

Re: Tyson Fury and his underrated perfomances
He looked great in the Chisora fight... Fought him left handed all the way and didn't miss a step... He was asked why he didn't stay southpaw against Klitschko... "I saw I was giving him the left hook" .... so obviously he's a thinker and adjuster.
To meet his potential Fury'd have to keep it rolling... That's something he's incapable of doing... He has the shittiest work ethic of any World Champion other than Buster Douglas... Maybe he's even worse because if he answers the bell for Wlad 2 that's at least 20 million dollars in his pocket.. Who the Hell fuks that up??? He has mental problems, emotional problems, and he says he "hates" Boxing... That's like saying you hate sex if you made 20 grand each time you got laid.
If you were born to be a boxer and you're very good a it... and you already made millions at it... I'd say you have major problems if you really hate it... Fury has no idea who he really is -- and wasting several years of his absolute prime is going to cost him dearly in one way or another .... if he isn't done already because he sounds and looks like an old man.

Re: Tyson Fury and his underrated perfomances
It was only a matter of time before someone like you lurched in talking about primes, which still isn't relevant to the point that was made
I know it's upsetting to you that Joshua's fight with Wlad was a good one, while Fury's fight with him was the worst ever, but why take it out on Wlad? Give the man his credit.
Re: Tyson Fury and his underrated perfomances
I'm not discrediting Wlad, it's just a fact, no one ever puts a career best performance at 41, having had their debut over 2 decades ago, and nearly 70 fights. It's clearly absurd.Riddick Blowe wrote: ↑17 Jan 2018, 09:52It was only a matter of time before someone like you lurched in talking about primes, which still isn't relevant to the point that was made

imo wlads a rare case though. he so often had great tools but mentally was held back from fully using them. but he fought wirh all he had vs aj. imo that would make up for a lot of any lost physical abilities hed have.
imo if that wasnt top form wlad it was barely off it
imo if that wasnt top form wlad it was barely off it

Exactly, he never needed to put it all on the table like that before.jamamb wrote: ↑17 Jan 2018, 10:51 imo wlads a rare case though. he so often had great tools but mentally was held back from fully using them. but he fought wirh all he had vs aj. imo that would make up for a lot of any lost physical abilities hed have.

So the difference is Wlad put it all on the line, despite still being so overly cautious he let Joshua recover.
Re: Tyson Fury and his underrated perfomances
Wlad was not in his prime against either. Cmon, let’s not be stupid.
He put on a great show against AJ and should’ve KOd him, but let him off the hook.
Wlad was so much more dominant when Manny was around. It seemed boring because he was too good.
I thought the signs of slippage were there against Pulev. He was tagged a few times.
Something clearly wasn’t right with him against Fury. Fury is awkward as fcuk but Wlad didn’t throw a punch until the last round. I just don’t believe Fury is that good even if Wlad had slipped.

Klitschko had slipped, but the fact that people are saying that AJ beat a better version is ridiculous. I don't think anyone comments that Fury beat a prime version of Klitschko. You can see it in the Jennings performance. As for Pulev, I don't think signs were there at all. Pulev was the #1 contender at the time, and that was easily one of Klitschko's best performances.Loki wrote: ↑18 Jan 2018, 20:41 Wlad was not in his prime against either. Cmon, let’s not be stupid.

After someone is out of the ring for more than a year, though, everyone comments about ring rust. And again, no one puts up a career best performance after being out of the ring for a long time and at the end of his career. That's just fanboy nonsense. It was more a showing of AJ's level compared to Fury rather than Klitschko's performance.
Fury beat a better version of Klitschko than AJ did.

And Fury exploiting that somehow diminishes his clear victory?

I think people really underestimate how he just took this monstrous uppercut. The worst punches are, after all, the ones you do not see coming![[icon_wink.gif] ;-)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)
Though IMHO it would be even more impressing to see him blocking, or even evading this punch![[icon_wink.gif] ;-)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)
