Requesting a bit of research help. I'm working on writing an article with historian Joseph Svinth and we're trying to track down information on the total number of professional boxing bouts held in the United States by year. Though we're interested in all years, we're primarily looking to find information on the years from 1963-1982 and from 1997-2016.
I've previously come across a post listing all yearly total bouts held worldwide here http://boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=101907&start=50 but haven't been able to find any similar stats for just U.S. bouts. I've tried contacting the moderator, John, who posted this information and others connected with the site but so far have gotten no response so thought I'd throw up a request here.
If no one knows the specific numbers, can anyone suggest a way I can search Boxrec to try and find total bouts by country and year? I found this link on the wiki page http://boxrec.com/location.php which supposedly allows you to search the site by country and year but it appears to be broken.
Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. But unless I'm missing something in how that search function works, it looks like it only lets you search fights on a specific day. I'm looking for a way to search for all fights within specific years and for a specific country (United States). If I'm doing something wrong or if there's another search function for this, I'd be appreciative if someone could let me know.
