It's as simple as "Tyson Fury isn't coming back". Who he doesn't come back against, and in what venue he doesn't ever have a fight scheduled is pure speculation. He's done, and surely we all know it?

Because it's very, very clear that it's Joshua, then Haye, then Fury, and the fact that Haye once fought at a sports centre means as little as the fact that Fury did as well. Your conversations must be really weird in real life if you're constantly changing the point of reference to some arbitrary point in the past.

Don't talk boxing to none boxing people in real life. Haye boxed a lot of times in leisure centres. Reading, Huddersfield, York Hall....

Not sure why Fury would walk away calling himself the greatest if Parker wins but not if Joshua wins? If Parker wins, then Parker is a young, undefeated, unified champ - who also best Tysons cousin....if he beats Joshua fair and square why would he be considered inferior to aj and fury. Parker is no Wlad or someone who has lost to an opponent who fury beat.

It's down to the casuals, Stu, because Parker won't inherit AJ's reputation with them if he wins; unless he does so spectacularly, I suppose. Joshua's widely regarded as the main force at heavyweight (rightly or wrongly), with Fury still positioned as the former champ. So if Joshua loses then Fury won't have to deal with half as much pressure from casual British fans.

He can say that he'd beat Parker, Wilder, Ortiz and Povetkin, and most people don't know who they are. Whereas Joshua's clearly storming along right now, and that keeps the onus on Fury to prove that he's better. Saying as much doesn't make it true in the eyes of thousands, but I think that that situation's unique to Joshua and the phantom of Fit Haye.

I disagree, I think you "inherit" at least some of that star power if you cause a deserving upset. Unless it is a controvesial win. Look at Fury himself, who was he before he beat Klitchsko in Britain or elsewhere. If Parker deservedly beats Joshua he becomes the man.

Seeing as it is only just being advertised, the first time i have seen it is since the AJ press conference.

I'd imagine if the former heavyweight champion of the world was going to be in town, the local rag normally run a story on it, the facebook pages with things around here have it on. So not sure where its been advertised.

He will box again.... eventually.
My current feeling is that he won't box for a few years, will have a walk over or two then either retire for good or lose to whoever is the up and comer at the time and then retire.

Normally I'd agree, but I think it's a bit different in this case because AJ's so popular in the UK. I think it'd be another Tyson-Douglas, with most people looking at Joshua's failures more than Parker's strengths.

At the moment, it's a lot easier for Fury to half-train and bleat on social media about how he is the Lineal Champion and how he could beat AJ, Wilder etc without training.

Talk is cheap and he doesn't seem willing or able to get fit enough to be proven right or wrong. It's disappointing because peak Fury vs Joshua would be one for the ages. Shame that he seems happier fighting his battles via Twitter.

I think Saunders only brought him in for the corner work at late notice. Saunders trained himself for that fight (and it showed...)

New Tyson Fury interview:

He looks happy and content so I guess he's in a good place.

Only thing is that he spends more time talking about partying than he does about boxing so I still can't help wondering about his motivation. However, he's an unpredictable character so, as ever, we'll see what happens.
