Knockout CP Freshmart vs. Toto Landero in WBA Title Clash, March 6

Knockout CP Freshmart (16-0) will defend his WBA 105 lbs title against Toto Landero in Chonburi on March 6th.
Knockout (16-0) is a former Muay Thai champion who is undefeated in boxing. He will make the fourth defence of his title against the Filipino who will be challenging for a world title for the first time.

The once beaten Landero (10-1-2) holds a split decision win over former world title challenger Vic Saludar but will be fighting outside of the Philippines for the first time.

The fight will take place in the afternoon and be broadcast in Thailand by channel 7. Knockout, real name Thamanoon Niyomtrong, had been expected to face Chaozong Xiong but that bout has been cancelled apparently.

I really want to see him against one of the other belt holders, preferably Moonsri in an all-Thai affair but Kyoguchi would do with the IBF on the line too. I think Niyamtrong is the best at the weight but I wonder if we'll ever see that proven?

the japanese champ kyoguchi is better than the thais from what ive seen. the thais seem to just do enough and dont really impress me as much as kyoguchi. he was fierce last fight.

I've only seen Kyoguchi against Argumedo. Both the Japanese and Niyamtrong beat Buitrago so it's difficult to judge. I lean towards the Thai but I just want to see the belt-holders fight, regardless of the outcome. I think both have the beating of WBC champion Moonsri...

Thanks, yes I watched his fight against Buitrago last night. He's relentless and seems quite heavy-handed. The stoppage seemed a bit strange but it was coming sooner or later.

He dealt with Buitrago better than Niyamtrong, I think this pair would make an excellent fight...
