Feel sorry for people involved with him. Zero sympathy and interest in him though. Shame though because he did have skills and talent but with his issues he was never likely to reach his full potential.

He sounds like a great guy. I haven't followed his career at all, but wasn't he in some kind of controversy at London 2012?

If I remember rightly it was to do with the Aboriginal Flag rather than the Aussie one - which is fair enough. I'm not big into flags or anthems although I appreciate it's important to others.

He also had an arrest a couple of years ago. Getting pissed up & brawling if I remember.

He looked f*cked after getting kayoed in one by a man whose only KO was Hooper. But then had a great win on the Horn Pacman bill. I thought he had turned a corner. Seems not.

He looks a lot older than 25 in this photo.

If this story is true then I'm very disappointed in him. Smoking cigarettes is a terrible habit.

A talented fighter (not as talented as some think though), but obviously a s@#t person.

It's quite obvious he lacks the mental fortitude to be an elite sportsman, let alone boxer. People that have spent the vast majority of Hooper's career blowing hot air up his behind are part of the problem here. The reality is that he never truly earned the hype, and has failed all adversity tests miserably.

Hopper v Quinlan. If Hooper is on form he should win this but if he's been training by drinking & stubbing fags out on birds then it's Quinlans :box:

Ey! You've mentioned one fight, against ya standard bean-pole Russian. Granted, it was a good win, but what else has he done as a pro, except be sent to prison for being a pretty shit bloke?

Quinlan has Hooper for speed, and isn't far off with power.

The Hooper-Quinlan fight delivered in spades. The rivalry and feeling between the pair was evident and apparently Hooper had to be calmed down in the changerooms beforehand because he was so fired up. Quinlan bulldozed forward looking to get inside and use his power. Hooper tried to keep it long and counter punch. The fight had everything. Swinging fortunes. Knockdowns. Real good contest.

Just watched it. It was a good fight. Although I had Hooper winning every round barring 5 and 8.

Hooper's ring savy is outstanding.

I don't know how Hooper survived the 5th round. Down twice and out on his feet he somehow survived the final minute. Quinlan was desperately unlucky not to have landed the fight ending shot during that round.

Strange how Hooper goes down on one knee when the referee is already counting. He did it both times he was knocked down in the 5th round.
