He's awful.
Obviously has always had mental problems.
In his teens he beat up his little sister so bad he was sent to reform school.
At one point he planned to murder Donny Lalonde, even went to his apartment with a handgun.
Shannon Briggs say Teddy stalked him, and used to phone him in the middle of the night and then hang up without saying anything.

I think you’re a bit gullible! And you’ve not validated the accuracy of your allegations.Freedom2013 wrote: ↑19 Jan 2018, 20:09At one point he planned to murder Donny Lalonde, even went to his apartment with a handgun.
For instance: Teddy Atlas fabricated a fictional story to make his biography seem more interesting. Donny Lalonde doesn’t remember any of it, because he says it simply didn’t happen.
Here’s what Donny Lalonde told Fight-News:
“I feel compelled to communicate with the boxing community the accurate truth of his inaccurate comments," the 41-5-1 fighter told us, adding that he has no recollection of the particular evening in question, "I don't remember any of it. Maybe he said it to sell his book, maybe he did that. I hope not for his sake.”
Teddy isn't the first celebrity to embellish or blatantly lie about events that they describe within their own biographies, since their agenda is to make their own story more interesting than it really is in order to help sell their fúckíng books and generate a profit!
I actually can’t be fúckíng árséd undermining every sentence you wrote, because you’ll simply submit even more factually incorrect drivel!
Do you remember when you said you were going to stop following boxing? That’s another fúckíng búllshít claims of yours that does not reflect reality, since you’re still using the forum and commenting on the current scene.

Atlas maintains he planned to do away with Lalonde.
Of course Lalonde can't possibly know what was going through Atlas' head. He's not a mindreader.
He can only surmise that Atlas might be BSing but he doesn't know for certain.
I think that Atlas is a breath of fresh air among stale, trite boxing broadcasters.
He passionate, authoritative and doesn't sugarcoat a bad product.
Some network will gobble Atlas up quickly if ESPN allows him to depart.
When you think of the premier television boxing commentators here in the US, Teddy Atlas is the first name that comes to mind.

So you’re preferring to support the more dramatic narrative, despite the blatant lack of any evidence to support the fictional story that Teddy Atlas seemingly fabricated?SenorPipino wrote: ↑19 Jan 2018, 21:20 Atlas maintains he planned to do away with Lalonde.

You’re entitled to your opinion for sure, but I personally prefer to dismiss dramatic claims articulated in biographies that cannot be substantiated, because the alternative is to adopt the same sort of mind-set of those poor fúckíng bastards that are gullible enough to believe in myths and legends, such as: Santa Claus, fairies, the afterlife, reincarnation, the Loch Ness monster, Bigfoot etc.
When people write a biography, they either lie or embellish the story to make it more interesting in order to generate more income. It’s not a complicated practice to understand... and we'd all do it if it could improve the numbers of our bank balance!

Like him.
Teddy's a bit of a nutter when he get's too emotional but he's alright I like him.
He shouldn't do round by round but his calm collective opinion afterwards can be revealing and do boxing a lot of good.

Sir, it's only your opinion that Atlas is lying. And, who knows, you may be correct.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑19 Jan 2018, 21:36So you’re preferring to support the more dramatic narrative, despite the blatant lack of any evidence to support the fictional story that Teddy Atlas seemingly fabricated?SenorPipino wrote: ↑19 Jan 2018, 21:20 Atlas maintains he planned to do away with Lalonde.

But if you possess some solid inside information that definitively proves that the story is merely a fabrication designed to increase book sales, then I wish you would share it with us.
Otherwise I prefer to take Atlas at his word. He knew what he was thinking and what his intentions were. The rest of us don't.
To point the finger and argue that he is a liar is mere speculation on your part....unless you somehow possess that insider knowledge I referred to.

I can also claim that earlier on tonight, aliens abducted a black disabled lesbian hermit whilst she was riding an unidentified sea creature located in Loch Ness, but according to your logic, since there's no evidence to refute my claim, it must be true.SenorPipino wrote: ↑19 Jan 2018, 23:06Sir, it's only your opinion that Atlas is lying. Did you agree with his thinking?

I agree with what he says about the sport being corrupt, that's probably why he's getting kicked out, he says what the fans know and doesn't give a fcuk.

The worse commentary I have ever heard .I think he's an idiot in love with his own voice.
Re: Teddy Atlas, love him or hate him?
Merchant was a great commentator who was a bad interviewer, Atlas is good at interviewing (except for Horn) and gets on my nerves over the course of a fight.

Re: Teddy Atlas, love him or hate him?
Teddy Atlas is stark raving mad. His biased call of Horn-Pacquiao and very public meltdown afterward was simply career suicide.
Re: Teddy Atlas, love him or hate him?
I neither Love him nor Hate him, but I'd say I like him, and find him entertaining even if he is a douche at times...which he is frequently.
Re: Teddy Atlas, love him or hate him?
Has anyone ever heard of the Adirondacks Golden Gloves championship?
Re: Teddy Atlas, love him or hate him?
I don't mind him tbh. He talks a lot of brown sometimes but he knows the sport and is obviously very passionate about it.

Re: Teddy Atlas, love him or hate him?
Nobody could ever accuse Atlas of lacking passion. But more and more of it became misplaced over time until someone had to act.
Re: Teddy Atlas, love him or hate him?
This
He's great before and after the fights but his calling of Pacquiao Horn was terrible. He just disregarded Horn because he knew f*ck all about him.
But he's a character and I enjoy his pre fight breakdown of styles.
