Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
This would be nuts.
I don't think that Price should fight again, but if he does he should be targeting Sexton for the British title or the likes of Cornish (could be built as some kind of bullshit Battle of Britain or something).

Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
I think he has to take the Povetkin fight if it is offered. He will be expected to lose and receive a decent payday.
He can then drop down in levels to fight the Sextons of the world...
Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
Povetkin early. Prices confidence is shot to shít! He comes in to the ring terrified and fights far too tentatively. Doesn't use the jab enough and when he does he doesn't use it with any sort of authority.

This would be a horrendous & brutal early ko loss for Price. Terrible matchmaking if it happens.

Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
Also, terrible fight. Price is completely and utterly done. Aye he can bang but he doesnt even have the confidence left to really try for it anymore for fear of getting tagged himself. Povetkin is on the slide and I never thought he was all that at heavyweight as a pro anyway. This is just made to make Povetkin look good and give him a highlight reel KO that can be used on the PPV promos for his fight with AJ in the summer. It’s needed though as Povetkin has looked utter dug shit in his last two fights

Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
Price is a grown man, he has to take personal responsibility for his actions. Eddie quite rightly sees him as a marketable patsy.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑20 Jan 2018, 19:07 This would be a horrendous & brutal early ko loss for Price. Terrible matchmaking if it happens.
Price seems like a bright guy perfectly able to weigh up the risk / reward ratio.
Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
Personally I hope this fight doesn't take place. Price can still be world class with the right build up in my opinion. Povetkin outclassed him atm although I would love to see David win.

Price should fight Fury. He has a small chance of winning that one.

Or worse, if Big Dave shuts his eyes and lands a haymaker - it's AJ vs Pricey on PPVfizzjambo wrote: ↑20 Jan 2018, 19:16Also, terrible fight. Price is completely and utterly done. Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
I feel the same, but we're in the big minority. I think that sometimes personalities make fights as much as styles do. Benn was fantastic in the Eubank rematch and against McClellan, for example; really fired up. Whereas against Collins (and this goes for Eubank, too) he was disappointing. Collins was respectful to both men and praised their efforts after each fight. Eubank then went on to fight the bigger Thompson, and — apparently fed up of being the panto villain — gave what was for me the best performance of his career.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑20 Jan 2018, 21:23Price should fight Fury. So of course it's unlikely that Price would beat Fury, but if there's anyone to get Price in the mood then I think he's the one. Otherwise he's just not spiteful enough, and Fury's one of the few who might not intimidate him with one-punch power. I'd still like to see it.

Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
Povetkin, despite he's only trying to win rounds, while he can win on KO in round 1.
Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
Povetkin would have knocked him out early, but Povetkin's promoters probably want just to wait Joshua's victory and sign to fight AJ at once.

Disgusting matchmaking.
Hearn should be ashamed the greasy silverspoon.

Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
Hopefully Povetkin says no to this waste of time fight.
Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
I'm going to stick a few quid on Pricey, odds will be good, he has the KO power to knock out anyone. Its worth the risk/reward ratio Id say. Yes he is shot to pieces but he is still a dangerous fighter should he land.
Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
how many times does he need to be kod without winning above sam sexton level before hes not 'dangerous' and 'worth a punt'

Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
He might well be a big puncher but nowadays he's too scared to throw a punch, his last fight proved it is the end for him
Re: WHO WINS? Alexander Povetkin vs. David Price
he looked a shell vs sokolowski. totally nervous and weary of a 6'0" non punching journeyman, though admittedly a tough one. got his face reddened too
