I've had my eye on Browne for a couple of years now. Very good 175 fighter from Staten Island, NY. I was hoping for a big all Noo Yoik fight with him against Joe Smith Jr but Smith is on the sidelines for a while.
Browne got a 1st round kayo tonight which means he has stopped 9 of his last 11 with 5 1st round KOs.
I'd love to see him against Yarde. It won't happen as they'll probably keep fighting blokes just below them but I think we'd see a classic brawl with these two.

I've also kept an eye on him. You know since the 'Hot Rod', he's done really well. I'm wondering if he should rematch him to put everyones mind to rest. He get's a lot of slack on that fight. But since, his last 3 fights, he knocked his opponents out.
Browne would light him up in my opinion.Yarde isnt ready for that fight he needs some step ups to match the hype hes getting or he will be unprepared when he reaches this level.
Barry Jones was spot on last night,Marcus Browne has been through these tests and he is ready to step up to world level now.
I dont even see Yarde as the best in this country right now.

i guess its easier to be tested if you have problems even at that level

You would have to say Buglioni is the best but not by much at all.Hes been around the level these guys are trying to get to for many years.Just above British and between European level.
Lets see Yarde fight a Jake Ball,Hosea Burton or even Bob Ajisafe.Do something domestically.
At the moment and the way these opponents are being lined up for him,its almost like theyre just feeding him non punchers or blown up super middleweights....
i dont have to say buglionis the best. hosea burton is nothing special at all and hasnt had any notable result above area level, whereas skejoca drew at ebu level right before fightibg yarde. buglioni had to come behind to beat him late. and buglioni had a tough time with ricky summers. and before that drawing with markham etc
really, are buglionis best wins burton, summers, and smw andrew robinson? i hardly think that means we have to rate him the best
imo yarde wouldnt at all have problems with area level fighters and his opponents not being brits doesnt mean there worse thsn they would be if they were brits.
skejocas and averlant are no worse as a pair than burton and summers. you can certainly argue buglioni has more depth of opponent but he doesnt at all seem better to me, even if he won the brit title in an overall domestically weak division
