Rocky from Stocky ko's him.
There's only one way to find out.
Fielding doesn't have either the personality or fighting style to be given the opportunity he wants - he should make a statement by beating Cox and then he would have a much better case for a shot.
ya beating a guy whose beat no one would prove a lot
'ya mate, fielding finally proved he deserved a big fight on the world scene, because he beat jamie cox, an 11 year pro who has wins over lewis taylor and obodai sai. cox also went 3.5 rounds with groves before being ko'd'

seriously man! hes less proven then dave brophy
Yeah but apparently that Groves body shot would have stopped most heavyweights...
Decent fight. Both are euro level competitors and in all honestly probably won't ever make any noise on the world scene. I think Fielding has the tools to pick off and stop a marauding Cox late in a good battle. Hope it happens but it doesn't seem Fielding is too keen. Says he wants a shot at a title but all the champions are more or less tied up so he could do a lot worse than agree to this fight.

He wants Zeuge for the WBA 'Regular' or Mohoumadi for the European.
Both should be easy enough to make.
Wouldn't hurt Cox to go in with a David Brophy next to get back to winning ways...
zeague for the wba regular or mouhamadi for the ebu make sense. cox on the other hand dont get him anywhere he hasnt already been. why on earth would he want a cox like career of non progression?

100% agreed. Cox hasn’t exactly earned a British title shot but Fielding certainly hasn’t earned a world title gig either. Unless Fielding can get a shot at the European then it’s a decent move for him. Would be a decent fight to watch and both men would have a chance. Fielding stops Cox for me and neither are world class but it’s a very decent British title fight

How would beating Cox help make a case for a shot?
Indeed, Cox may well be a better fighter than Fielding (Fielding is nothing special after all) but until he pays his dues at domestic level, like Fielding and others have, he should not get another title shot.
Not that I'm having a dig, I enjoyed his fight with Groves and look forward to seeing him fight again.
But guys like Fielding and Ryder should get title shots before him now, unless he picks up a good win or two.

It's easy to look at a record and form opinions. I've saw enough of him to hazard a guess he's more than capable of competing with euro level guys at 168. Mohameddi the euro champion isn't any great shakes. Then you have guys like Rebrasses, Yildrim, Feigenbutz etc.... Cox is capable of competing and even beating these guys in my opinion. World level? Nah I can't see him ever getting anywhere near that level but he's a decent domestic/Euro level competitor.

which fights did he show you he was euro level
His quality of opposition hasn't been great so I can't really go by specific fight apart from his performance against Groves. He showed there he's capable of compete ting even though he was dispatched but there's no shame in that as Groves is world level. You think the guys I mentioned beat him easy and it wouldn't be competitive? Not in my opinion. I'm not a fan of Cox and was happy Groves KO'd him but he can fight a bit.
In all honesty he should be campaigning at 160 though.
