WHO WINS? Caleb Truax vs. James DeGale 2
I've got a feeling Hearn has got this one but also rumours this could be added to W@rrens April 14th O2 card.
If the rematch gets made who wins?

Generally the guy that lost to the underdog he didn't take all that seriously is able to beat the underdog when he's taking him seriously.
Not always though.

Probably DeGale, but I’d be rooting for Truax.
Re: WHO WINS? Caleb Truax vs. James DeGale 2
DeGale should get his head screwed on and win this time around unless he's totally shot to shít which is a possibility considering his strange performance in the last fight. Not taking anything away from Truax though. I like the guy and he comes across a top fella. I hope he gets a proper wedge of cash if he's coming over here to defend his title

A sniff of a rumour and Wes cannot get here quick enough to start a poll!

The reality is that nobody really knows until we see James Degale box again.
Was it a bad night/poor prep/underestimating opponent or is his time up?

He's taken quite a lot of punishment in his last 2 fights,i personally think his time is up and will do well not to get stopped in a rematch.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑26 Jan 2018, 19:22 The reality is that nobody really knows until we see James Degale box again.

DeGale. He won't make the same mistake twice.
But on points. After snoozing for a quarter of the fight.

Re: WHO WINS? Caleb Truax vs. James DeGale 2
I am surprised DeGale didn't make changes following the first fight. He said in the run up to it that the injuries were now sorted so he can no longer use those as an excuse for how poor he has looked since winning the title against Dirrell. He kept saying in the post fight interview after the Truax defeat that he would have to address what went wrong in camp. That suggested to me that he and McDonnell would be parting ways and, much as I like Jimmy Mac, I think the only chance DeGale has of reigniting his career is to take on a new trainer; one who is able to sharpen up his defence, stop him from playing to his opponents' strengths and just generally put him back in a more positive mindset.
As it looks as though it will be the same faces in James's corner for a rematch, it is difficult to say whether 'Chunky' will be able to do enough to earn a decision over Caleb. If he can't then he may find himself with nowhere to go.

Really?
I was under the impression that he didn't have a rematch clause. DeGale's team was too arrogant to assume they might need one.

Hope they weigh Truax in with a good few quid. Wouldn't put it past him pulling it off again. I favour DeGale but that was a really alarming performance last time out from him so who knows.

Re: WHO WINS? Caleb Truax vs. James DeGale 2
If Truax is as hungry to retain as he was to win his belt, he can do it again. DeGale's always given off the impression that boxing owes him because he's talented, but he's rarely taken full advantage of that talent and needs to treat Truax as a genuine champion, not just some dude who has his belt.
DeGale can win if he carries the right attitude throughout his camp and into the fight...

His last few fights have been hard & ageing fights & he looks to be on the decline to me.
It wouldn't surprise me if Truax wins on points again.
