Charr and Oquendo aren't even Top 50 so them fighting for a so called "World Title" is an absolute disgrace to the term Champion and the sport of Boxing.
Most of these sanctioning bodies should have zero credibility and be given zero respect from the Boxing community, but people just won't wake up to that fact.
Andre Ward Hints at Comeback? At Higher Weight?

Re: Andre Ward Hints at Comeback? At Higher Weight?
It's really weak outside of the Top 4. I mean hell Parker is in the Top 4 a lot of the time, and if say Oleksandr Usyk moved up to fight Parker I'd pick Usyk to beat him with the utmost confidence.
Re: Andre Ward Hints at Comeback? At Higher Weight?
its weak but it starts to get 'oh shit' weak once youve move into the lower top tem
Re: Andre Ward Hints at Comeback? At Higher Weight?
parker would lose to aj, wilder, ortiz, povetkin, miler, pulev and maybe even more, could easily see whyte and breazeale beating him
i thought parker lost to ruiz and hughie, he looked clueless. could hardly put a glove on either and was getting easily hit. showed no power in the shots he landed either

Re: Andre Ward Hints at Comeback? At Higher Weight?
I didn't see the Hughie fight. I didn't he lost to Ruiz, but he wasn't the least bit impressive either.
Re: Andre Ward Hints at Comeback? At Higher Weight?
he could hardly hit ruiz beyond flayling jabs, he looked totally stressed and befuddled all night and ruiz tagged him over and over, winning pretty much every exchange
this is short fat andy were talking about.
and he lost rounds and couldnt stop raz f@cking cojanu
then he couldnt touch hughie
top 4 no way.

not to sidetrack the thread
Re: Andre Ward Hints at Comeback? At Higher Weight?
You saw Ruiz do better than I did. I thought they both looked like sh*t pretty much. Parker was busier so he won.jamamb wrote: ↑24 Jan 2018, 15:12 he could hardly hit ruiz beyond flayling jabs, he looked totally stressed and befuddled all night and ruiz tagged him over and over, winning pretty much every exchange

Being a fatass doesn't do Andy Ruiz any favors because judges don't wanna give close rounds to a boxer that looks like that. By being so noticeably out of shape people are always gonna score against you...and they should, because you shouldn't be in there looking like that.
I do think that Parker vs Ruiz was practically a draw, and nobody really "Beat" anybody there. But I have no problem with Parker getting the decision for the reason I said above. That being said, the fact that he struggled so badly with a guy like that proves he's not much of a force in the division.

sounds like a great fight, but i think Usyk wins easily 118-110 like decision
i would like to see Povetkin vs Usyk

Usyk Povetkin is a fight I could definitely get on board withdagilechia wrote: ↑24 Jan 2018, 18:10sounds like a great fight, but i think Usyk wins easily 118-110 like decision

He got completely outboxed by Kovalev and now he claims he can beat AJ? Lol
Re: Andre Ward Hints at Comeback? At Higher Weight?
I am not so sure that Ward would win against Charr. Ward doesn't have the power to hurt Charr and in a wrestling match that 30 lbs weight difference is a big deal. There is a good chance that Charr would simply walk Ward down.

This is why i find the new Brat Pack of posters on this site so annoying...and no i'm not quitting the site because I've got nowhere else to go so stop it. The new Brat Pack posters here are just, sorry to say it, incredibly dumb when it comes to analyzing boxers. They are really well versed in the heavyweight division though and will constantly post about unheard of heavyweights from other countries that will remain unheard of....hence, they bore me.
Why the mini tirade? Because here's further evidence of the low intelligence that i'm referring to. Andre Ward, and I'm not even a fan really, is so much more skilled than any heavyweight out there right now that it's hilarious. The skill level at heavyweight is so low right now from where it will be in several years that any elite light heavyweight out there would have a chance against any belt holder. AJ and maybe Wilder could and should get to an elite level in terms of skill over the next 4 or 5 years but right now, even with a 20-30 pound difference, Ward would beat each of them and make them look really foolish. Skill Level difference is enormous...like two different sports.

caldo the joke
an explosive 6 foot 6 250 pound olympic champ like aj would beat ward no doubt. ward had enough problems with kovs right. lets not act like he couldnt easily have lost that first fight.
ward is very good but hed be giving up massive size and hes a guy for who inside physicality is a big part of his game.

Oh you are being serious...
Let me Laugh even harder
So you are calling other people stupid and saying that Ward would beat Joshua and Wilder
Re: Andre Ward Hints at Comeback? At Higher Weight?
kov boxed on no worse than even terms with ward from the outside using 1-2s. scored a kd and arguably won fight one
now imagine ajvwith a 6 inch height, 11 inch reach, and 50 pound weight advantage boxing ward. keep in mind aj throws a mean uppercut too unlike kov. simply too much physical difference. id think wilder would ko ward too.

tbh im not sure if he is serious. most of the time he just wants attention, the attention his parents never gave himHeretic wrote: ↑25 Jan 2018, 09:11caldo2025 wrote: ↑25 Jan 2018, 08:52 This is why i find the new Brat Pack of posters on this site so annoying...and no i'm not quitting the site because I've got nowhere else to go so stop it. Re: Andre Ward Hints at Comeback? At Higher Weight?
I assume you're talking about Roy Jones because you couldn't be talking about Fitzsimmons.
Roy wasn't stripped of his Heavyweight belt. He just moved back down to Light Heavyweight, and never defended it.
James Toney was stripped of his Heavyweight belt due to PED's.
Incidentally he won his from the same guy Roy had won his title from, Toney was stripped though, Jones wasn't.

I stand corrected, however I still believe he had some help keeping solid at 199lbs. I'm not a spinks hater, I think most top level sportsmen are using Peds of some kind.tiny_acres wrote: ↑25 Jan 2018, 12:15Spinks had a lightheavy defense 3 months before challenging Holmes.
