Whyte: "I Expect To Fight Joshua Four Times!"

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

Dillian Whyte revealed Anthony Joshua brings the "anger and rage" out of him and suggests he could fight him up to four times in his career.

"He [Joshua] knows whenever me and him are in the ring, it's going to be war," Whyte told Sky Sports. "I expect to fight him probably another three or four times in my career.

"It's one of those fights that, if I fight him next and beat him, I'll still fight him again.

"It's a good fight and there is so much emotion and anger and rage in that fight.

"I just enjoy fighting, whether it's in front of one person, 10,000 or 100,000. A fight's a fight to me. Everybody has got something they are good at doing.

"I've always been a fighter since I was a child and thank god I managed to make it work for me, and I'm actually fighting regularly now and doing it the right way."

"Wilder or Joshua, whoever ends up making sense," Whyte added. "Ideally we would like to fight Wilder next. Win that and go into the Joshua fight as the champion.

"But if AJ is sensible about a good deal, we could get it on next."

I’ve never hear anyone mention him as a challenger since he got hammered by Joshua, wtf is he on about? He was horrible vs Helenious.

At best he gets to fight him once more and lose. After that I doubt anybody would be able to get the public behind a 3rd KO loss.

Lesser guys than Joshua could beat Whyte I figure.

I'd like to see Whyte vs Jarrell Miller.

IF Whyte get's past Browne, Hearn should make Whyte vs. Miller. If Whyte get's past Miller, he's ready for a world title shot.

Fighting Tann last year was a waste. Should have fought someone better.

Joshua battered him, there is no credible case for the rematch.

His ONLY case is/was that he shook AJ. Whether it was once/twice. Every other boxer get's shook.

Yeah and it's such BS. Bruno has Lewis wobbly for 10 secs. Grant shook him a bit in first 10 secs lol... neither were ever gonna justify a rematch

aj was up 5-1 then scored his most brutal ko in the 7th.

wlads the only one to put up a fight that justified a rematch,

He needs to concentrate on Browne first. If Browne turns up and is at his best, it could be a very awkward night.

Whyte could easily trip up on the way to his desired shot, I would not be surprised to see Browne outlast him then put him to sleep.

Whyte needs to cash in before he hits the European circuit. At best he can replicate Chisora's career. A few title shots will be his best achievement.

He is no more than European contender level.

It doesn't justify a rematch, he got brutally walloped.

Yeah, I think that could happen too. I also think Lucas could take him out early. Despite that it still is a pick 'em matchup.

I voted once more as I think AJ still gets riled by the fact that Dillian did wobble him and there seems to be enough mutual contempt to justify another bout. I can't see it happening anytime soon though, Whyte needs to start beating the other contenders to get to the front of the queue first.

Whyte doesn’t seem to be trying the real bad man act in this one, bar the ‘you think you can punch me in England and get out alive?’ stuff anyway

I think he’ll try to box but be drawn in to a fight. Browne will have something a few of Whyte’s recent opponents didn’t have - ambition.

Chisora vs Whyte 4 times I'd gladly see. The first fight was a good scrap.

Whyte will maybe fight AJ again depending on wether he beats Browne but he'll lose again and then that'll be that! Whyte is a vastly overrated fighter because of his connection to Matchroom.
