Briedis surprised me how well he did , but usyk just nicked it .
Not the fighter everyone makes out tho .
No, he isn’t the level some think he is, but he’s top class and has a fan friendly style.

I dunno, winning a decision in Latvia against an inspired Briedis isn't the worst result/ performance for his 14th fight.
What flaws do you think it exposed ? You think Dorticos takes him ?
Looks a bit herky jerky for me and does he carry much power ?
Just doesn't look smooth in there and takes too many ,even think the bodywork was troubling him slightly .
Obviously a fantastic engine for a big lad tho .

I don’t think it exposed anything personally, I’ve always rated him highly but not believed for a second he could step up and give Joshua all he could handle, which is what more than a couple on here have been saying.

I think he beats Dorticos but I’ve got a feeling he won’t be facing him in the final.

I love this cruiserweight tournament! I reckon they should do it again and mix up the semi finals so they can all end up fighting each other at least once

i know where your coming from , but thats promoters over hyping a fighter , remember that was usyk only 14th pro fight , every fight he fights is a step up ,and one more win , who can beat him in the division

As good as he is I don't think Usyk has the power to beat the top heavyweights. He was the easiest I've seen him be to hit as well tonight. Take shots like that from the bigger men he's going over.

Shocking mate! I had a fuckin nightmare trying to watch this! Was sitting in the livingroom with iPad and two laptops! Couldn't get any of em working! Went in bedroom and said to her to put it on Kodi! Got a better stream on an illegal streaming site than the official web site and they're wanting to charge folk for the two SMW semis!!!! What a cheek! I'd have paid for Groves v Eubank but after that tonight there's no chance I'm wasting my money! Arseholes!

Still has a very amateur style! Doesn't get much behind his big shots! He's a big guy as well! If he put everything in to it He'd be a banger!

Ive just watched this fight in foreign , I don't have a clue how other people have seen it, I find the SD incredible, I thought Usyk won pretty much every minute, I had it 119-110, I gave Briedis the 6th because I thought he should've been credited with a KD, he caught Usyk with a lovely right hand which I thought put him down, I gave Briedis a share of the last round

Briedis had a couple of little bursts now and then but Usyk always kept him in his place comfortably with his jab and quick combinations, anytime Briedis had a rare success, Usyk used all his experience and snuffed him out

Easy win for Usyk and a career best performance, he made Briedis look poo

Just having a look through this thread. cant believe how wrong I am, I thought it was a mediocre fight where Usyk snuffed out Briedis pretty comfortably, I watched it in mute , I cant think of a clear round for Briedis, I gave him the 6th because he deserved a KD and I gave him a share of the 12th

Judging by this thread it must be me whos tripping but surely I cant be the only person who thought Usyk bossed that tonight with minimum fuss?

Surprised to read that from you mate. I usually agree with you on most things boxing. I thought Usyk won but I had it tight. I thought Breidis did himself a service tonight. He showed some things I didn't think he had in his locker! He gave Usyk a lot to think about tonight man.

I thought Usyk started pulling away from 7 onwards. He started pushing Breidis back but I thought Breidis had a good fight man. I gave Breidis the 12th anol man. I had Usyk three up going in to the 11th then my feed cut out lol.

I think Breidis got his nose or something broken by an uppercut near end of six/7th and he started to flag a bit while Big Usyk relished the fight and felt Breidis wane a bit and came on. Amazing pace for two big guys. Great fight.

He had a daft grin between rounds like he was loving it. Breidis looked like he was on the operating table between rounds after the 7th. Two seriously good 200lb fighters. Tough as boots man they took a lot of shots, Usyk shipped some crackers that would have knocked out most.
