Who said he did? Wlad doesn't have the best chin. Joshua couldn't put a dent in Takam who Povetkin KO'd clean
Povetkin iced Takam with a late round KO... AJ didn't get his clean late round KO because the referee stopped it prematurely... Pov hit Takam with a lot of punches that didn't knock him out first... It took him a long time to set him up... Also, he hasn't been knocking people out lately has he??? .... AJ gets everybody out.
Who cares about Takam? Average small fighter. Compare their perfomance against Klitschko. It was Povetkin who was dancing from jabs, It was Povetkin who barely landed something lol Joshua would crush Povetkin into Mars,
And Dohoupas with no boxing shoes and 2 days notice ... Huh
Povetkin is looking his age recently. AJ, the guy that struggled with an old-semi retired Klitschko is supposed to do a better performance when he couldn't even top Povetkin's clean KO of Takam? Klitschko also broke all the damn rules of boxing to do that to Povetkin. It was an indefensible performance.
Also, Duhaupus got KO'd clean, something Wilder was struggling to do. Do you think Duhaupus would've done any better with training? He would've suffered the same damn fate. The fact that he was a top 10 at one time shows you how ridiculously weak the division is.

AJ will blow Wilder away.

Even without the premature stoppage, he wouldn't have gotten a clean KO. The fight was in no way looking like that would've happened. I didn't once think that Joshua was about to cleanly KO Takam like Povetkin did. Also, I'm not advocating that Povetkin is a p4p hard puncher. I'm just merely exposing that neither Wilder or Joshua should be in the running comparing their performances to Povetkin's. Klitschko is more a fighter that is a p4p huge puncher.

he became boring order to stay
relevant. no way of denying it. on
the joshua bout, i just rewatched
and was stunned that wlad could
not finish him. there was plenty of
time and AJ did not get his senses
back.
Emanuel Steward trained him to fight like that, to pace himself. Wlad's explanation for not finishing off Joshua when he could was that he thought that Joshua was finished and he could easily end the fight in the next round or two. Definitely a case of pacing himself that cost him the win. How do they say, never put off til tomorrow [the next round] what you can do today [this round].

AJ has Wilder beat... The right uppercut Joshua took Whyte out with could not be duplicated by Wilder.
Wilder would not get a 2-round beatdown of Martin or a mid-round finish of Breazeale.
Maybe so but that is more to do with Joshua's better technique meaning he can better concentrate the power that he has. I think Joshua is the more effective fighter, but on a purely subjective basis I'd give Wilder the edge in one shot power.

I think we all felt the same way at that point in the fight - Joshua looked finished. Amazing recovery. Hindsight is of course always best. Too bad there wasn't a rematch.
don't forget Lucas Matthysse. I think he still got some bullets in his pocket (?). we'll see tomorrow if he still stand a chance to get a big fight at the most competitive weight currently.
Errol Spence Jr is my selection. 10 KO's in a row. KO's in every 12 round fight so far in his career. He's broken eye sockets and multiple boxers have had their their health jeopardized so much so that they are not allowed out of the corner. He doesn't believe in those "throw away punches". Every thudding punch upstairs and down, deadly.
spences a good puncher but he just beats on ppl round after round and like you say hes putting himself into almost every shot. id probably rate him outside the top group who show more sudden, brutal ktfo power, even though they may tend to beat guys down more so than blast them all out

Wilder doesn’t punch hard in the correct sense, he doesn’t punch from his feet and through his hip to generate real power. He steps back and swings at opponents which is ok against poor half beaten challengers. His KO punches are akin to swinging a pool ball in a sock, if they land their gonna hurt but against a quality puncher who goes straight down the pipe, Wilder will get beaten to the punch every time.

That doesn't mean that he isn't the biggest puncher. That was the question, not the most technically sound punchers.
I think he's similar in power to Joshua. Neither of them come close to Klitschko, though. Dude dropped Povetkin with a flick of the wrist.
To be fair, Klitschko isn't in boxing today. He's retired.
I was using Klitschko as an example of insane power. I don't think Joshua and Wilder's power are at that level where they could be considered, p4p, the biggest puncher in boxing.
Took Wilder a lot to stop Duhaupus, who Povetkin absolutely demolished, and Joshua didn't stop Takam clean like Povetkin did.
I really don't think Kiltchko was as devastating of a puncher as you make him out to be. Not in the one shot kinda power department. He usually wore fighters down then took em out. I think Wilder, while not as good technically, is a harder puncher.
I don't care to gauge someone's punching power soley on comparison of a like opponent. If you go that route, Povetkin and Miller punch harder than Klit as they were able to stop Wach where Wlad could not.

You're seriously the first person I've ever seen say that. You're also wrong. You need to watch these fights instead of just looking at BoxRec. Povetkin was in no way ever close to stopping Wach. That was an uncalled-for stoppage. Wach could've went on. Miller was also in no way close to stopping Wach. Wach hurt his hand and couldn't continue.

Wilder or AJ. The Charlo's seem to have developed some mad power recently Anyone suspicious? Lol
They both ditched Lara's trainer for one.
And are they drinking grandmas special tea?
I really don't want to go down that route beause I think everyone is on something. They did change trainers, though, which has been a good thing for both.

Fair enough bruv. I just always think back to how good Povetkin looked knocking folk around but he was juicing! You're probably correct though! Most folk are on it!
I've never seen AJ knock out anyone the way Wilder has. They've both had help on more than one occasion by referees stepping in after pounding on guys round after round without achieving a true knockout. AJ has had that happen quite a number of times, Not able to really get the guy outta there for some reason. If his power is that great and his technique is so much better, he should be hitting harder. Seems like more think Wilder is a bigger one shot puncher. I dunno. AJ has better fundamentals, he's about 20lbs heavier too and knows how to use it well.

It's either AJ or Wilder.
AJ's KO of Whyte was brutal. His KTFO of Rafael Zumbano Love was brutal as well. I think AJ hits much harder than Wilder with a right uppercut and probably harder with a left hook, but Wilder hits harder with a streight right hand and right hook.
