Zab Judah

This kid seems to have been fighting years. Had 2 fights since 2013, why the comeback? What if anything can Judah bring to the table?

Beat Noel Mejia Rincon in Canada last night ( 27th January) but Rincon has a very poor record so cant make any judgement how Judah is progressing on his return.

Does Zab need the money? Surely not. He has had a terrific career but what is motivating him to go on I wonder?

Judah reportedly earns decent money as a sought after sparring partner ( isn't he credited with supposedly knocking out Mayweather during a couple gym sessions?).

He's now 40 years old and debuted more than 20 years ago. Since Judah still keeps himself in good condition, he occasionally dabbles in actual fights, as witnessed last night.

But apparently he gave up any hardcore boxing dreams when he was trounced by Malignaggi about 4 years ago.

He'll probably be like Hopkins and still be fighting, on occasion, until he's past 50. But just not at the same level.

Zab Judah is one of the most naturally gifted boxers ive seen. But his discipline is poor and IMO that is a reason why he did not achieve far more in boxing

Edit: he still can fight against B class boxers for next few years. Why not

Why would you think "Surely not"

Zab's gotten into quite a bit of legal trouble over the years, and does a lot of stupid sh*t. It's not hard to imagine he's blown a great deal of his money.

Agreed.

Judah obviously had a lucrative career.

But he never earned Pacquiao or Mayweather type paydays.

Who knows what he did with the several million he did rake in?

At 40, I don't think Judah would be punishing his body as a sparring partner and occasional boxer if he didn't need the money.
