Marciano vs Ali from Boxing Annual 1970
I picked up this magazine, boxing annual for 1970 and it has an article in it about a computer generated fight or something between Ali and Marciano. I dont really understand this, iff anybody knows about it can you explain? Thankyou

Ali and Marciano staged a fight which was shown in cinemas I believe. It was several years after Marciano retired however he trained hard for it.adspath wrote:I picked up this magazine, boxing annual for 1970 and it has an article in it about a computer generated fight or something between Ali and Marciano. They filmed two endings I think, one for American audiences and one for UK audiences. Ali won one, and Marciano the other.
It wasn't a 'proper' bout, pretty much a sparring session made to look like the real thing.

On the dvd they talk about how the ending that was shown in the uk was realy just ended early. what I mean is in the fight marciano was cut badly and in the 11th round the ref stops the action and looks at Marciano's cut then lets the fight continue. Whatever channel played the fight in the UK simply showed this part of the fight and then stoped it at this point making it look like a stoppedge on cuts win for ali. But there realy was a version of ali winning on cuts that has never been shown until the dvd came out.Controversial wrote:Ali and Marciano staged a fight which was shown in cinemas I believe. HERE,
My mate downloaded Marciano vs Ali from the internet, he showed me a 3 minute clipping, a round of boxing...
About 2 minutes into the round Marciano hits Ali with the "Suzy Q" and knocks Ali down...Ali gets up on 6 and staggers about the ring, the referee continues his count because Ali hasn't regained his balance and then the referee says "10" and Ali falls back into the ropes and slips down them... Resigned to defeat.
ROCKY WON BY KO.
Boy, I cheered, and it really looked convicning, let me tell ya!!!
