btw before anyones like 'whine, moan, i hate hypothethitcals' all i can say is: go away. all fight outcomes are hypothetical till they happen. didnt stop you from talking about, say, ggg v canelo

and before anyones like 'usyk isnt even proven as todays best cw and he only has 14 fights!' i say: so what. then just take that into account with your predictions.

Usyk-Haye (in his prime) would be 50/50. I think Usyk would defeat the rest. I am not sure if RJJ had been at CW in his prime (if yes - 65/35 RJJ)............

i think haye might be one of the riskies from the list, because he had serious speed and power at cw and usyk does get hit. usyk did get caught and maybe a little hurt vs briedies in the last round.

I think prime Haye stops Usyk. Or at least wins a convincing decision.

Faster, more mobile and much more power.

No Jones Jr. never fought at cruiser during his prime years.

But he did make a one night appearance at heavyweight and toyed with John Ruiz over 12 rounds.

He would do the same with Usyk who would be stymied by Jones speed and reflexes.

In the fantasy land it would be very interesting to see recent Usyk against Michael Spinks (he was a natural CW, fighting at LHW and HW). It would be close..............

These Usyk vs ... threads are annoying. He is good but he hasn't even proved that he is the best current CW yet.

lol see point two bruh. dont read them then.

hes already done enough to be considered with the names i gave in the list btw. theres no reason he should be kept away from comparisons with those guys.

He has done enough? He only has 5 fights against opponents with a pulse with only Briedis being really a top opponent at this point. Glowaki is limited, and Huck is shot. People should really wait until after the WBSS final to compare hime with Holyfield, prime Haye, Toney, etc.

this thread is specifically excluding holyfield, and really how many other cruisers have had a super deep high quality record there? he already fits in fine on that list.

Bullsh!t. I just don't understand people worshiping him. In his last fight, he didn't even demonstrate any skill advantage over his opponent, just plain outworked him.

usyks got versatility. he can outbox most, but if he cant, he can then outwork most.

Glowacki is better than current versions of Lebedev and Wlodarczyk - the only two opponents with pulse in Gassiev's resume.

No. Styles make fights. Glowacki just doesn't have skills to pose problems to Usyk, Gassiev, Briedis, etc. Lebedev and Wlod (even current version) are way trickier.

He would have had no chances of outworking Holyfield thought. Holyfield has thrown 86 punches per round in his first fight against HOF fighter Dwight Muhammad Qawi. Holyfield would have had an agvantage in virtually every aspect of the game against Usyk. But Holyfield is one of the greatest P4P fighters in history.

I highly doubt that Mark Flanagan would last 6 rounds against Glowacki.

What does it have to do with anything? I also highly doubt that Glowacki would last 6 rounds against Gassiev.

The James Toney that fought Jirov would beat him imo. Toney would either evade his outside shots or wear them and come back right in the middle of a combo time and time again until he frustrates and or hurts usyk. Toney not a ko puncher had decent pop and would accumulate on him again and again. The pressure usyk would bring wouldn’t stress Toney.

Disagree totally. Jirov left boxing at the door and fell into Toney's trap. Usyk would dominate that lazy Toney style. He works from proper distance - and that combo of style and stamina would swamp Toney.

Fair enough regarding Jirov. Toney would be harder to hit clean than Briedis and imo usyk had trouble landing on him. He’d slip and then throw. Any inside work he’d dominate as I feel Briedis did early on. As you said, Volume and distance would be usyk s strengths although he’d have to land on a slippery Toney who was also a great judge of distance. Just my opinion. Not an easy fight to call. I should have said originally.
