Got to go with Canelo this time, he'll have grown in confidence after the last fight, he'll also want to put an end to the criticism he's taken. I imagine he'll put more rounds in like the first couple from the first fight and win a legit UD

I thought a draw was a fair result last time although GGG may have slightly edged it if you go by aggression. But Canelos defensive movement was excellent. He was making GGG miss & countering well, although maybe not enough.

Next fight will be equally close.

I made the trip over for the last fight and at the time I had no idea who won after a few too many bevvies, watched it back an went for a draw but I was biased towards Canelo.

This time I think Canelo will win it clearly. He certainly has the ability but has to bring the fight to Ggg more than the first time.

canelo wins all day. just move those hands a bit more. he had all the quality from the first fight but in too many rounds he didnt do enough to win them clearly. you can give away rounds like that because even if the other guys not as accurate he can build up more connects simply by throwing a lot.

Golovkin if it's in New York to right the wrong of Vegas. In Vegas Alvarez will get it unless he's knocked out.

From the must see first fight, it’s the not massively bothered 2nd fight. It’ll be more of the same - a slightly disappointing cagey 12 round affair

how can you say that when he clearly lost the first fight and got a gift decision? Golovkin won at least 7 rounds of that fight clearly

Fantastic work from Loeffler and Team GGG if it’s in New York.

Can’t see De La Hoya letting this fight happen outside Vegas though.

That 118-110 scorecard still haunts me, hope GGG rights the wrongs from the last fight

I think Canelo takes this. I think he can outbox him and another 10% more punches take a deserved decision. The last fight was very tight, but how much more can GGG give?

I think GGG is the better fighter and under truly neutral conditions I'd not hesitate to pick him again.....

But there is an agenda at work here. This like the first fight will not be a fair fight. Golovkin is not supposed to prevail and that concerns me.

Last time was an 8-4 type win for Golovkin, but he wasn't allowed to walk away with the W.
Can he win a decision? Which corrupt officials will be in place this time?

My mindset ahead of this is less about the contest fistically....and more about the officiating and how exactly they will be loading the die.

I hear some people talk about how Alvarez has more scope for improvement and just needs to move less and punch a bit more, but he'd have punched more last time if he was able. But he didn't because he's got an inherent stamina problem and because if he punches more he'll give Golovkin chance to uncork something major on him.

Truth is Alvarez will come in with the same gameplan. He couldn't stop Golovkin in his tracks last time and he won't second time around.....I just look for Alvarez to try and punch more in the last 20-30 seconds of rounds as he tries to steal rounds.

I just hope we see a fair fight and a fair conclusion decided on merit.

That’s the thing - people saying Canelo will be more aggressive in the rematch are being hugely optimistic. In reality, all he needs to do is stay away and make it to the final bell, and he knows he’ll get at least a draw. So that’s exactly what he’ll do. Boxing really is corrupt when it comes to Goldenboy’s main fighter.

Yeah exactly......all I expect differently is Alvarez trying to time his flurries to enable a couple of judges to 'find' enough rounds for him not to lose. The officials and location are the key thing going into this and that's appalling really.

GGG showed he's the real deal in the first fight and we all know he was robbed of a straight forward win there.

GGG will have far too much for Canelo and I'd say he'd have to go for a KO because we all know what happens if it goes to a scorecard yet again.

Fight must happen and this time lets hope De La Hoya doesn't recruit some bird he stole clothes from and paid very well to do as she's told yet again.

Interesting.

I thought GGG won last time, but he is getting older, and Canelo has shown he is good at learning and improving, I think he could maybe do it this time.

I think GGG needs to put a lot more pressure on canelo this time. He seemed content to box to points victory that very nearly blew up in his face. Canelo can't work 3 minutes of a round, golovkin needs to ensure that he's forced to.
