I think I’m in a minority here but I don’t get the whole ‘Ohara was thrown under the bus’ argument.

He has, on many different occasions, been bang out of order (particularly what he said about Paddy Barnes’ wife). Hearn has spoken about his behaviour in the past and it seems that the Sun thing was the final straw.

Whilst in isolation it wasn’t enough for him to be dropped by Matchroom, he’s had several warnings about his behaviour and conduct on Twitter. He was also given the option of coming off Twitter and carrying on with Matchroom which clearly he didn’t take.

People have spoken about how he would have been encouraged to do all of this by Hearn and Sims - is there any evidence of that? I’d be surprised if Tony Sims did.

‘The Sun thing’ was absolutely nothing. That’s why he’s been thrown under the bus.

I have to wonder, had he beaten Taylor, would he still be a matchroom fighter today ?

I don't even know why OD or Eddie took that fight. Levels. Kid had had over 100 Ams and was an Olympian. A few bang outs of journeymen doesn't make you ready. Eddie knows the game, he must have known he was in deep.

I don't think he was thrown under the bus, but I do think there is wrong on both sides.

After listening to the OD interview with IFl I don't believe for one second he's as wet behind the ears as some think.

O’Hara may not have understood the Hillsborough situation but, because enough people jumped on it, it wasn’t nothing. It was in several national newspapers and Hearn probably felt he had to act especially after previous public warnings.
