Nice to see Josh's fans were nice to Selby! This will sell, and be a totally different atmosphere to a Hatton fight.

How many do you think it will sell?

He’s come close to sell out the FD arena but I don’t think he has fully yet so it’s a big jump from that to Elland Road.

I suppose Bellew went from c.6,000 tickets to 20,000 for the Makubu fight and from memory they only had 5ish weeks from announcing to fight night.

I've met Josh a few times, and that wasn't the real him at the presser. He's really upped the anti to draw in the football crowd. Sanigar tried defusing it but Josh wouldn't leave it. He is a huge Leeds fan, but all that won't help.

Selby was at Elland Road today to see Cardiff hammer Leeds 4-1. A sure sign of things to come  :bag:

If Warrington's defence is as leaky as Leeds at Elland Road easy nights work for Selby

Will Selby take more than about a hundred fans? Did have to laugh when right at the end of the press conference when Sanigar in answer to one wags question about whether the Soul Crew would be coming confirmed they would hahaha.

I actually fancy heading up for this one but want to see whose on the undercard before confirming, plus been stung more times than I care to remember by Warren cancelling shows so am being held back by that.

I like Warrington but I can't see anything other than a UD points win for Selby.

Nice to see I got a little mention around the 4.42 mark 'some reporter'.

I read a comment from a press release from Warrington to Selby and he gave his reply.

Selby didn't like it and it seems Warrington didn't like his reply. Can't wait for the fight.

Josh Warrington said in a press release “He [Selby] thinks he’s a banger when he’s not. He puts far too much into his punches and then fades.” Selby replied: “At 9 stone, I’m not a banger, but walking about now if I hit him on the chin I knock him spark out.”

At least the football season will be over. So no footy hooligans roaming the streets. Saying that leeds is always busy on a night but could be an ugly evening if Warrington gets beat. Not sure what kind of fans Selby will be bringing to Leeds.
Yeah this has trouble written all over it mate. I thought that as soon as the fight was mentioned ages ago.
Any idea what Selby's fans are like??
It was Steak & Blow Job day last week. Or as Selby fans called it “dinner at your sisters”.

Someone in an earlier post labelled Selby the most overrated fighter going. Personally I think Warrington tops the overrated league table. Incredibly one dimensional and way over hyped by Sky solely down to his fan base.

do boxing fans rate warrington at all? it seems like 80 percent or more of the discussion around him is how hes so lucky to have the leeds support thats way out of proportion to his ability

if anything id say boxing fans underrate rate him. hes actually pretty decent and at least strong ebu level, but mainly gets written off as a very limited fighter who just gets his opportunities (all of which hes won so far) because he sells well

not sure about selby anymore, but he used to get painted as some masteful boxing genius even though hes pretty regularly lackluster and hasnt beaten anyone very good. his top wins may have actually been coming up with smith and simpson. look at how awful gradovich has been the fight before and then after selby. look at how small, old washed up montiel gave selby a good fight then got blown out right after.

who is his best win?

but he is good and should beat josh i feel, but i dont know if theres really levels and levels and levels between them. workrate, stamina, and tenacity are abilities too

Just watched the new promo and everyone seems to be asking the same thing... why is this fight on Magic Weekend? That’s thousands of potential ticket buyers from all over West Yorkshire unavailable that night.

All blokes in Castleford, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Featherstone etc do, though. They also know Newcastle is a very good night out. RL isn’t like football, fans from all clubs will go to the big events even if their team is not in it.

How many League fans would want to share a stadium with a bunch of coked up loudmouth footie fans though?

I wasn't over enamoured when this fight was first announced. For some reason the closer it gets the more I'm looking forward to it, even though it has the potential to be a total bore of a contest. Selby knows how to take the sting out of a fight and reek the place out. I still am looking forward to it though! Fukk knows why :o

Yeah I'm a Utd man lol. I don't really have a dog in this fight though. Closer it gets I think Warrington could give hIm fits though. Selby is technically a lot better but he's looked absolutely dead at the weight for ages now and Warrington will be like a dog with a bone from the start.
