"Shocker: Amir Khan set to join forces with Eddie Hearn" (Source: World Boxing News)

WBN has now learned the 31 year-old is on the verge of revealing an agreement with Eddie Hearn [Head honcho of Matchroom] - a man Khan previously stated he'd never work with.

Hearn represents Kell Brook, one of Khan's fiercest and longest rivals, although a clash between the pair was ruled out recently when 'The Special One' moved up to 154 pounds.

Once Khan and Hearn make their intentions public, the end game could be a battle with Brook at a catchweight or even with the former moving up the necessary seven pounds himself to make it a super-welterweight bout.

"Amir Khan ends feud with Eddie Hearn by agreeing multi-fight Matchroom deal, boosting chance of massive domestic fight with Kell Brook"

The welterweight - who remains one of Britain's highest-profile fighters despite 18 months of inactivity - and Matchroom will officially announce a multi-fight deal at a press conference in London on Wednesday.

It is understood that before signing with Matchroom, Khan rejected an offer from ITV...

By agreeing terms with Hearn he will instead work with a promoter he has regularly spoken of his dislike for.

"Amir Khan vs. Adrien Broner a possibility for March" (Source: Dan Ambrose - Boxing News 24)

Amir Khan’s shock news could be a fight against former 4-weight world belt holder Adrien ‘The Problem’ Broner in March. There are rumors about Khan (31-4, 19 KOs) facing the 28-year-old Broner in their next fight. Khan-Broner qualifies for being a huge announcement like Khan has been saying.

"Broner: I'll Be 100% For Next Fight, Ready For Khan or Figueroa!" (Source: Boxing Scene)

Whether it's Khan or Figueroa, Broner has promised to enter the ring at his very best.

"I will be at 100% for this next fight no matter if it’s against Omar Figueroa or Amir Khan or anybody else who wanna fight me on Shotwime."

Khan signs three-fight deal with Matchroom Boxing. He's back on Sky Sports and will fight on the 21st April, which is the same date Eddie Hearn's biggest UK promotional rival (Fwánk Warren) will be covering the Frampton-Donaire fight on BT Sports (Sky's biggest UK rival sports network).

Hearn hopes that Khan will fight three times this year and wants him to pursue fights against the biggest names, including Keith Thurman, Manny Pacquiao, Errol Spence Jr. and British rival Kell Brook.

It looks like at least one of my predictions have come true. There’s no word yet about the opponent Khan will be facing in Liverpool on the 21st April though.

Assuming Khan will be headlining the fight card on the 21st April, he’ll inevitably have to face someone moderately familiar to the UK audience that has some sort of credentials, despite them only being of tune-up calibre.

So Amir’s next opponent is likely to be against someone world-rated yet very beatable, such as the likes Adrien Broner and Jessie Vargas, or he could even drop down to domestic/European level by facing someone like Bradley Skeete, Sam Eggington, Ashley Theophane or Frankie Gavin. At the moment, the rumour mill strongly suggests that Broner is the most likely foe.

Hearn hopes that Khan will fight 3 times this year?! :oo :oo :oo :oo :oo

Hearn obviously doesn't know Amir Khan, does he?

2011 was the last time Khan fought 3 times in a year. Hearn is crazy if he thinks Khan can or will fight that often

Absolutely, especially if his first fight of the year is going to be in April & also assuming he's serious & wants top opposition.

I don’t think he does want top opposition. He said on a fight hype video few days ago that Broner could be his second or third fight.

"Amir Khan v Phil Lo Greco: Deal secured for April 21 bout"

It’s no surprise that Khan is facing an Al Haymon stablemate, but I would have preferred to see him face someone on a better run of form than Phil Lo Greco. Oh well, it’s only a tune-up and both Matchroom and Sky Sports will inevitably hype-up the Canadian as some sort of world-beater!

I expect Eddie Hearn to ensure that the entire undercard is very strong for this event, since the headline fight isn’t strong enough on its own to generate good audience figures.

"Big Announcement"

"I'm fighting Phil Lo Greco"

I don't think Khan understands what a big announcement is.

Khan has opened a 20-1 favorite to turn back the challenge of the dreaded Phil Lo Greco (he sounds like a lounge singer).

At the kick-off press conference to introduce the combatants, the all-too predictable chaos erupted as Lo Greco insulted Khan's wife and family.

A supposedly irate Khan threw a glass of water in Lo Greco's face and the fighters then attempted to get at each other.

Fortunately the melee was broken up by security before Khan and Lo Greco could do any damage to one another.

I'm sure the press conference was much more entertaining then the actual April fight will be.

Lo Greco hasn't really beaten anyone of note in his 28-3 career, but he has been victimized by 2 of the world's best welterweights.

Shawn Porter dominated him across 10 rounds and Errol Spence battered him around the ring before the referee halted the mismatch in 3.

Lo Greco should give Khan what the Brit needs---rounds. He apparently is rugged and can take a punch.

But what he won't give Khan is an "L"

That unwelcome gift will eventually be presented by a more accomplished future opponent.
