For me it's the Lebedev fault.

Why did he not participate to the world boxing super series ?

Instead he defended his WBA super world title against poor opposition.

And even with a fight in July 2017, he could do like Eubank Jr and Abraham and still participate to the tournament.

I'm against Lebedev because he ducked the tournament. (WBSS asked to Lebedev if he wanted to participate).

For that reason, Lebedev should be stripped.

It's not wrong. It was a razor-close fight. Shutting out Lebedev like I'm reading here is definitely wrong. The guy arguably has a win over the possible finalist of the tournament. How the hell can anyone call his title "paper". Yes, he should've lost the belt officially, but I'm glad he retained so the winner can't just ignore him.

A rematch would be too much for Lebedev. He endured significant damage in the first fight. There were rumors that he had to be admitted to a hospital, so a few days later he posted a video trying to disprove that.

Lebedev is done on the top level which is why he refused to participate. I doubt he will face any of the semifinalists.

Any claim Lebedev might have had for the cruiserweight crown was lost at the moment he refused to enter the tournament.

prime lebedev may well have wouldve beaten that gassiev, but remember that was a f@cking massive step up for gassiev and hes probably going to learn from that type of thing.

and for a cruiser hes still a baby too. hes the youngest semifinalist by 6 years.

announced that dorticos is now the wba super champ and lebedev is champ in recess, which i assume will give him a mandatory status that he can use after the tournament if he wants

so all 4 of the major belts are in the tournament

Situation sorted. Winner of WBSS must negotiate a fight vs. Lebedev within 30 days.

tbh i think lebedev counts as an 'easy' fight after what the winner will have probably been through. if they want to stay at cruiser i think its a good fight for them, especially if the winner isnt gassiev and therefore can add another good name to there record.

..with or without belt, Lebedev is still a factor in the equation and all the more so if Gassiev wins the tournament..even if he doesn't, Lebedev will still be a good scalp on anyone's resume including that of Usyk..

Lebedev just said that he will want a warmup fight before facing a WBSS winner. He also explained that he could not enlist in the tournament, because his mom was terminally ill at that time.
