Besides staying busy. I dont see an upswing here for Povetkin.
If he destroys him in a round he did what he was supposed to do.
If it goes 6 or more rounds Povetkin will look silly. I don't understand this fight

I had a quick look on Twitter to see if he was boasting or anything but what I did notice was a lot of talk about betting on footy etc. I hope Pricely is not a compulsive gambler.

Win win for price . If he gets lucky and knocks out Pedveitkin then he might get title shot chance against Joshua to KO him again .

Can’t see this fight happening.

Povetkin doesn’t bring any UK PPV to the deal, the stadium will already sell out and fight week will bring awkward drug related questions not needed til the AJ/Pov.

Also Povetkin doesn’t come cheap. He is on serious dough in Russia.

Unless the Russians are paying his purse as there’s no hope in hell Hearn would dare take a piece from AJ piece of the pie.

This fight WILL NOT HAPPEN.

I definitely hope he's matched with Chisora instead of Price. Chisora would at least make a fight of it. Price wouldn't make it out of the 1st I don't figure.

Maybe half of Russia is betting on a quick win? I think its a banker on a saturday acca.

Either Price or Delboy who cares? It's meaningless entertainment and potentially pretty brutal. It would be a welcome addition to have the likes of Povetkin on the undercard.

Maybe his Russian promoter will put up some of his purse. They know it's all for good exposure.

I could see it happening, it's likely Povetkin will be AJ,s next fight, what better way to sell it to joe public that bring him over here and give him a first round highlight reel knockout.

even prices power is unproven at this level. Hope he gets paid well for it as it could be brutal for him.

Povetkin vs. Price Nearly Done For Joshua-Parker, Says Hearn

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said a couple of weeks ago that there was a possibility that the fight could happen.
But on Tuesday, at the Hilton Hotel in the city centre where he was promoting the ‘Back To Business’ card on April 21 at the ECHO Arena, topped by the return of Amir Khan against Canada’s Phil Lo Greco, Hearn issued Boxing Scene with a positive update, stating that there should be some news in the next week or so.

He said: “We’re nearly there [on announcing the fight]. [David] Price has agreed, [Alexander] Povetkin has agreed and we hope that by the end of this week we will be announcing Povetkin vs. Price at the [Principality] Stadium for the WBA Inter-Continental title [currently held by Povetkin] and the number one position with the WBA for Anthony Joshua.”

“This is a massive opportunity for David Price, don’t blink in that one.”

Camp Eddie thinks all drug cheats should be banned for life. Price has been sparked three times by ped users. Has the big stiff plumber upset Eddie or something?

As soon as Povetkin lands it's all over. A little surprised the BBBofC have approved this.
