Is Gassiev-Dorticos on USA TV
Re: Is Gassiev-Dorticos on USA TV
5-2 vlasov
vlasov opens up near the end of the round. about as much action as weve gotten so far.

when Povetkin moved to Russia again in 2013 he fought only there and he foughtBest Coast wrote: ↑03 Feb 2018, 17:25Other than the loss to Wlad, most of Povetkin's biggest fights were in Germany, when he was WBA champ. Since he lost his title vs Wlad he has fought mainly in Russia, but has taken a step down in competition. I think Alex is biding his time for a world title shot and is fighting softies to avoid a loss.dagilechia wrote: ↑03 Feb 2018, 16:54Povetkin fights in Russia too though he used to fight in Germany beforeBest Coast wrote: ↑03 Feb 2018, 16:44
That's mainly because there have been so few international megafights in Russia. Most of the big-name Russian stars (Tszyu, Kovalev, etc) have traditionally fought most of their big fights in US, Germany or (or in Arbachakov's case) Japan.
The only Russian world champs who have fought consistently in Russia are Drozd and Lebedev., so the "jury is still out on that issue."
So you have a relatively small sample size to base it on...let's hold off on generalizing until we've seen more "megafights" like Gassiev-Dorticos in Russia.
but there are lots of big cards in Russia recently, with bouts for intercontinental titles and others similar straps, and even in these bouts i just dont remember any dodgy decision, while seen a lot in other countries, especially Germany of course
the worst decision i have ever seen was in South Africa, Masternag ''losing'' to Muller while the South African was down in two rounds, lost most of rounds (imo 7-3, maybe even 8-2 in rounds) i had it 97-91 Masternak
but going back to Russia, it looks like more fights there just end up by the way of KO, so it could be a reason too
but i agree, maybe Gassiev vs Dorticos will give a clearer answer about judging in Russia (if it even goes to the later rounds)
Price, Hammer & Rudenko are far below what Alex should be fighting to EARN a title shot.
Andrzej Wawrzyk 27-0-0
Wlad Klitschko 60-3-0
Manuel Charr 26-1-0
Carlos Takam 30-1-1
Mike Perez 21-1-1
Mariusz Wach 31-1-0
Johann Duhaupas 34-3-0
Andriy Rudenko 31-2-0
Chrisitan Hammer 22-4-0
before he faced Byrd, undefeated Chambers, Chagaev, Boswell, Huck, past it Rahman, imo it's comparable, not really a step down, and his record looks fantastic compared to Wilder or Parker

Vlasov is a bit small for the weight, but I would still favor him against anybody except the top 4 guys and possibly Lebedev.

Was that a Russian rap that Gassiev just entered the ring to?
Re: Is Gassiev-Dorticos on USA TV
Hopefully the pressure gassiev brings cracks and crowds Dorticos.
