I had Dorticos up 4-2 after 6 rounds. Then it was all Gassiev. He found a way to crack Dorticos defense and finished the job in style.

It was a good fight I enjoyed it, no complaints about the winner at all in terms of credibility of the bout.
Even though some of Gassiev's work was predictable at times clearly Dorticos didn't think the same, I was a bit surprised the corner of Dorticos either didn't instruct him too well or he didn't or wasnt capable of following them.
By the mid way point the fight was fairly well poised and there for the taking, Gassiev's clean body shots and uppercuts clearly demonstrated that the Dorticos defence was by no means air tight as Dorticos only attempt to counter them was through attack.
Gassiev landed a number of telling blows upstairs which to Dorticos credit he took well, nevertheless they were point scorers and weakend Dorticos as the fight progressed until his fall in the twelveth round, I felt that Gassiev started to run away with it on the cards in the last third of the fight.
Coming into the contest I think I overated Dorticos boxing ability because all he really demonstrated with any regularity during the fight was the jab and the straight right, some straight rights got through but some seemed to get stuck in the guard for two reasons.
1. They became predictable to block or parry.
2. Many of his straight rights were arm shots and didn't have enough behind them.
Gassiev never looked in any serious trouble even though he ate a few jabs and was backed up many times early in the fight, when he rocked Dorticos a couple of times that turned the tide as Gassiev began to control the bout and I sensed his confidence growing.
By the time the last couple of rounds came by Gassiev had made it look like it a stoppage was possible and he finished off Dorticos well.

he basically outboxed dorticos on the backfoot then brutally stopped him. he showed he has dimensions to his game and isnt just a come forward tank like vs denis and wlod. he showed hes a better skilled boxer than dorticos.

Gassiev just looked really mature to me with his game plan. Just stayed on the back foot for the first 3-4 rounds whilst patiently going to the body and not getting hit with anything big. Then once Dorticos was all tired and slowed down with all body shots, he stepped up a gear and as the rounds passed, it was clear that just a question of time the Cuban would fall. Gassiev was like f..king Comodo dragon. Patient and ruthless.
