Don't you think though that even though Linares isn't as talented as Lomachenko, his size advantage will help him to compensate for his lack of skills in comparison to Loma?
Nah, I remember people were talking about GRJ's speed during the build up for that fight. Lomachenko nulled it easy. As for size, Linares doesn't fight in a way that his size will make much of a difference. This is like Canelo vs. Mayweather.
Yes, I'd like to see the fight, but stylistically, it's all Lomachenko.
So we already know that Vasyl Lomachenko turned down an opportunity to make the jump to 140lbs to face Manny Pacquiao, because he wasn’t physically ready to compete at that weight, but he’ll move to 135lbs for his next bout before the end of April.
Bob mentioned that Raymundo Beltran will very likely become Lomachenko’s next opponent if he emerges victorious from his next outing against Paulus Moses on February 16th, or alternatively Jorge Linares.
I personally feel that Lomachenko will more likely face fellow Top Rank stablemate, Raymundo Beltran, rather than GBP’s Jorge Linares, due to the fact it’s easier to make (since it avoids the ESPN-HBO TV network issue).

Not only is it easier to make, I think it's a better fight all around. Linares is a good fighter, but he just doesn't have anything that I can see that'd trouble Lomachenko.
Beltran is huge and is very likely the biggest puncher Lomachenko will have faced.

I don´t see much size advantage for Linares. Lomachenko gained some muscles since turned pro.

so why doesn't Linares campaign at 130 then?
Dont know. He knows ... but you will see that Linares will be not bigger than Lomachenko. Miguel Berchelt seems a bit bigger that Linares to me
If Linares has his wbc diamond belt on the line and lomachenko wins, then lomachenko would become mikey's mandatory and then we would instantly see mikey remain at 140 after beating lipinets lol

I think Linares is a tough test for Loma due to Linares speed, and ability to move. Linares is not a hard hitting lightweight, but a really solid pro. If Loma got by Linares this would be a good set up either a Mikey Garcia fight or a Pacqiao fight.
I don't think Linares has anything for Lomachenko. It's a mismatch. Lomachenko made his name in the Olympics beating dudes like Linares. This will be GRJ 2.0.
Berchelt and Mikey are the only ones that would give Lomachenko a good fight, especially Mikey because of his godly power at 135.
These would be Loma's best fights but Linares is solid too.
Berchelt has been KO'd in the 1st round a few years ago and Linares KO'd in the 2nd round. I don't think either guy poses any risk to Loma. Both are good but not in Loma's league.

I would much rather see Loma vs M Garcia or Pac.
Lomachenko is not knocking out either. Berchelt is a better fighter than Linares.

I'm not saying Loma will KO either guy, just think they are not mentally tough or skilled enough to compete with Loma for 12 rounds. Berchelt may be better than Linares, who knows, but it is just a guess.
Ive just watched Berchelt - Vargas and Berchelt - Miura fights again. That man is beast. His boxing skill is real, plus that punching power. And he can definitely take a punch, i dont think this is a man who will quit on stool. Berchelt will bring a LOT on table against Lomachenko. Hopefully this fight happen in 2018

Would you bet on Berchelt's victory over Lomachenko ?
I don't think it would be wise.........
Super featherweight was a piss division for Loma. He never fought other fighters. KTFO Martinez and made all his opponents quit on their stool. Would you not rather lose 120-108 than quit on your stool. It's not as though his opponents were physically hurt. Walters was perfectly fine, as was Sosa.

Sosa was not perfectly fine, maybe he would last another 2 rounds but why risking permanent brain damage ? Walters was fine, amybe he can stand there for 4 more rounds

He didn't take the punch too well against Flores a few years back. (about 6:35 in the video)
to be fair hes since that time taken shots fine from better punchers than that guy. seems a bit badou jack like. first round ko losses are by far the most misleading. can get caught before your really into the fight and gotten used to the shots.
by the way how freaking big was that opponent. berchelt is big enough for 130 but that dude made him look like a kid.

To be honest I would love to see Berchelt vs Loma, win or lose if he is going to stay at 130 for now. Berchelt seems to have a pair and won't quit on his stool like coward Rigo did last fight. I normally would say no boxer is a coward that enters the squared circle, but either he is, or he got paid to quit. Either way he should hang his head in shame.
