If Parker is able to give the performance of a lifetime, and legitimately beat Anthony Joshua I don't doubt that he can have won me over by the end like Rocky

But realistically I expect Joshua is gonna kick his ass in one sided fashion, and take his title with an emphatic beating.

I don't expect the fight to last more than 6 rounds.

We'll see how it goes.

I got no beef with either of these guys though so I won't necessarily be rooting for either one, but let's just say I'd be surprised if Joshua ain't the one that wins this because I've been way more impressed by him as a fighter.

aj

josh and wilder are my two favourite hws. love that power and explosivness and agression. both are very watachable, even vs lesser opponents. a fight between them would be one of the best things in years.

parker grates on me a bit, or more like his situation does. hes clearly very limited and i thought looked pretty useless vs ruiz and hughie. i thought he lost both and especially clearly to ruiz. i dont know how ppl gave him that fight. yet hes still commonly ranked as a top 3 heavy! no chance. someone like j arrell miller would walk him down and beat him up.

I’ll be rooting for AJ, but I really do like Joseph Parker and it made me laugh seeing him go out on the lash with Hughie & Tyson Fury after their fight. Seeing Parker and Tyson Fury doing the Haka was pretty funny.

The Kiwi seems to be a nice bloke, but his promoter seems to be a bit of a túrd though.

So even if the Brit loses against Parker, I won’t be too bothered.

I'd love to see Parker pummel the manufactured humble out of AJ.
I would love to see Eddie's face if AJ got KO'ed. Actually Eddie would love that, because the rematch would be huge. But for the good of HW boxing, AJ needs to win this, just as Wilder needs to beat Ortiz.
I will cheer on my countryman, while my wife pervs at AJ, and hopefully I'll get lucky afterwards
:yay:

Parker seems to be a likeable down to earth kind of guy and a good boxer to boot.

Anthony Joshua, on the other hand is a superstar. It's a bit like watching Mike Tyson again. You can't take your eyes off the screen, just waiting for something dramatic to happen.

And like with Tyson it always does, its just a matter of when.

Joshua because he is a good thing for this sport, he's got potential to be recognized worldwide, at least as Klitschko

Yep Joshua is better for boxing, but i'm not rooting for either, just hoping for a great fight as well.

I don't think Parker will be a push over.

Both guys have an almost identical number of fights as amateurs and professionals, just AJ having a slight edge in quality opponents and accomplishments.

One thing I hope for is that whoever wins goes straight to the winner of Wilder/Ortiz instead of a rematch.

Joshua has put a WHOLE LOT OF PRESSURE on his own shoulders by fighting in the UK against Parker.
He has to perform against Parker..
Please watch the Klitschko fight again.
AJ was rocked numerous times before and after the knockdown rounds.
Hey, and Klitchko was 41 and hadn't fought for 16 months.
What's Parker at 26 going to do?
No pressure on Parker as he lives in Vegas and fights all over the World.
Parker to Win by late round Stoppage or lop sided decision.
Ortiz to Stop Wilder late.
Whyte to Stop Browne.
Povetkin to KO Price inside 3

Parker. He seems a good guy.

Joshua annoys me and his casual fans are even worse. Plus Hearn will spit feathers if his cash cow gets KO'd.

There was MUCH more pressure fighting Klitschko in his home town in front of 90,000 than there will be fighting Parker. And what is a 26 year old Parker going to do? I don't know, but he certainly isn't a 26 year old Klitschko. They're completely different people.

I think ALL the pressure is on Parker. He's got it all to prove. He is still yet to fight a top 10 heavyweight, scraped through 3 of his last 4 (while the other he was made to go the distance against someone outside the top 50).

This is quite possibly the worst post in BoxRec history.

I'm personally rooting for Joshua. I like both guys, think both teams go about their business quite professionally. That being said, Parker does talk himself up quite a bit. Granted he was an exciting prospect while he was knocking out journeymen, but that hand speed and power has counted for very little in his last 4 fights. I know you have to big yourself up and be confident, but he is coming across as the one with the better record, and momentum of a freight train.

Will be siding with my fellow Brit.

Am hoping for a multiple knockdown barnburner with a 12th round come from behind ko, will settle though for any type of Parker win as I have him in a bet :bag:

Would Parker have beaten the Wladimir that Joshua KO'd? Not a chance in hell.

I will be supporting the underdog but i can't see how Parker can win this. I would think Hughie Fury would have a better chance than Parker against AJ.

As I wrote in another thread, if Parker's chin could endure Joshua bombs, he would have some slight chances.
