Oquendo by UD. Charr is terrible. I'd favour novices like Hrgovich, Dubois and Sirenko to beat him up and knock him out right now.

Charr was decent around the time he fought Vitali. After that.. he was just another guy. He threw a tantrum when his fight with Vitali was stopped. Vitali tried calming him down.

oquendo 4 years ago even in his 40s was better than guys like charr and lucas browne, but how much will he have being even older and inactive? i think it will be a dud fight maybe with charr doing a little more.

With all this crap lawsuit and WBA having to keep the 'regular' title going to give Oquendo this meaningless title shot. It has annoyed me to the point that I want Charr to KTFO Oquendo.

Like I did last year. I wanted Briggs to do him in. If Oqendo loses. I doubt he ever fights again.

World Boxing Champion Manuel Charr (33) will defend his world title on 29 September in the Cologne Lanxess Arena against Fres Oquendo (45). That confirmed Charr and his coach Christian Jäger to Sky.

Originally, the fight against the Puerto Rican was scheduled for May 4 in Chicago. However, Oquendo could not prove the 600 000 dollars offered at the auction. Thus, his camp lost the right to vote.

Now the fight will take place in Germany.

I bet even the laughable WBA must be acutely embarrassed at having to give Oquendo, who is older than Buck Rogers & hasn't fought since the woolly mammoth was a fixture on the planet, a shot at their joke belt. :oo

The fight we've all been waiting for :yay:

Charr should win this. He'll be too big, awkward and strong for Oquendo.

Let us all pray that there isn't a rematch clause that the WBA fails to honour Oquendo, otherwise we'll have the sorry spectacle of him getting a shot at one of their orange, brown, or whatever stupid colour they come up with for their really joke titles when he's about 77! :-x
