Interesting. Wonder if he'd fancy defending against Joyce or Dubois after he takes care of Sexton or if he'll just give the belt up?

It's taken so long...
Peter was saying they would put Hughie back in the ring soon, That was after the Parker fight.

Not a bad fight for Hughie.

Decent opponent. I like Hughie, with more experience he could be a serious contender.

Dubois isn't ready for Hughie, he'd get toyed with.

Hughie has good skills but he's overrated by a few guys on here. Guys like Dubois and Joyce are gonna be looking to land the British sooner rather than later so it'll be interesting to see if the Hughie defends the belt or moves on. You're probably right, it might be too soon but I wouldn't say Hughie would toy with any of them. I've not seen enough from him to agree with that. The talent is there though. He should outbox Sexton easy enough.

big dan is far more overrated now then hughie (though still far less overrated then jay cox). hes been perfectly matched at a low level against far smaller and super duper chinny opponents to make him look like a monster. ppl are actually rating him as such and that hes already got top level power, would already beat top hws like povetkin, etc. talk that hed walk through joyce due to power difference, but your f@cking joking if you dont think joyce would also poleaxe fine china like carter and howe and some random mexican light heavy

these are knowledgable ppl doing this too. i almost think ppl are being lazy and just assume for superficial reasons that hell be another aj.

not to say he doesnt have good potential, but im not seeing why hes sure to be the next big thing. also not like he was super proven olympic winning amateur who we already have a fair deal to go by.i dont think there was much talk of him at all till he went pro.

Personally I don't think Dubois is overrated at all. I've heard a few folk going a bit over the score on him but most folk just see him as potential at the moment. He's got all the tools and time on his side. It's gonna be hard to match him is the only thing. I don't even think he's old enough to fight for the British til the summer is he? Thing is, he's gonna be looking to land that title soon and I'd have fancied him to take care of Sexton tbh.

I'm just wondering if Hughie will stick around and defend against guys like DD and Joyce, Gorman etc... who'll be chasing a shot or if he'll move on? Fury sees himself as world level obviously and there's a few high risk, low reward fights at British level if he decides to defend his British.

Let's see about Dubois, we will never know until he steps up and has a lot of time on his side to improve and mature.
Of course he has been devastating so far

yet you think hughies overrated? hardly anyone rates him that high at all but he atleast was already in a fight he arguably deserved vs a top 10 opponent. dubois id actually say gets a more postitive spin by far (not just on style either) and hes done nothing.

its not just a few ppl, loads of ppl are talking dd up huge and the editor of boxing monthly even picked him over povetkin! hughie is very young to and not even 3 years older than dubois btw, similar difference to aj and parker, plenty of time for hughie too

Dubois could be very good - we just don't know yet.

Hughie might be young but he's been around long enough to suggest he's never going to be a great.

Hughie has good skills and could've been a belt holder and be fighting AJ next month instead of Parker if he'd have committed himself a bit more in that fight but I think some folk go over the score on him. DD is gonna get more attention because he's getting rid of folk. Fact of the matter is they are still learning and need to be matched properly. I'd like to see Hughie stick around at British level and defend against DD, Joyce etc... and see who comes out on top. That will be good prep for all involved for moving to the next level.

Picking DD over Pov and people of that level is just silly. A lot of folk done the same when Price was steam rolling guys at domestic level. Hopefully they all stick around at domestic level and face off.
