The way genetics works you could (theoretically) have a son who was 99% identical to the father (although certain things like mitochondrial DNA and transcription factors must come from the mother).
Chin / punch resistance is principally (though not entirely) genetic - you can't put muscles on one, after all. So he has probably inherited it from Sr. He may also have inherited it from his mother, but unless Sr has an especially dark side there would be no way of knowing.

The genetics logic certainly doesn't include Wlad and Vitali.
Why not? They're not genetically identical. They most likely inherited differing degrees of punch resistance. Unless Vitaly has found some magic exercise that makes your chin stronger and then hid it from Wladimir.

My brother used to hide Scalextric cars from me. There's no f*cking limit to the depths older brothers will stoop to

Actually yes, he probably did.

is chin any more likely to be aquired from dad then mom? any more likely to be mainly dad rather than a mix? can we say its actually the most likely case that he has his dads chin rather than his moms or some hybrid? there have been just so many fighters who arent near the level of abilities there father was, at least enough to make it uncertainty
but his chin seems at least solid to me. i think a chin thats not at least decent wouldve tended to shown signs by now. i dont believe it being uncovered requires facing a big puncher

It's no more likely to have come from Sr than from his mother or a mix of the two. But a) we can be sure that he got it from one/both of them b) we know his dad has a good chin c) his mum is equally like to have a good or bad chin as we know nothing about her. So I'm going with he got it off his dad.
wouldnt say shook pretty big but i just rewatched that and eubank was defo a bit rocked there. also didnt look filled with 'self belief' at the time. still took some big shots and came back strong the next round.
Elijah McCall didn't benefit from his dad's chin. Oliver the atomic bull had a chin of granite while his son got KO'd multiple times in the first couple of rounds.

Probably got his Mum's chin. Or he inherited recessive "good chin" genes and dominant "shit chin" genes. Genetics is a dice roll each time.

Legend has it that Haroon Khan has a titanium chin and he lets Heavyweight pros line up and give him a free dig
Was only thinking the other day , what happened to his boxing career ?
