Dempsey poses with world famous cowboy artist Charles M. Russell. It was thought that Russell made several sketches of the camps and arena, but none have been found. Russell died in 1926.

Interesting bit of local history here. John L. Sullivan would have been 49 when he and Jake Kilrain put on an exhibition sparring tour reliving their historic battle from July 8, 1889. The bout is considered to be a turning point in boxing history because it was the last world title bout fought under the London Prize Ring Rules, and therefore the last bare-knuckle heavyweight title bout.

According to a ringside report in the October 16, 1925 edition of the Great Falls Tribune, Joe Simonich and Pete Bross fought twelve rounds with a draw verdict being rendered in a bout in Great Falls, Montana on October 15, 1925. This is a "new" bout for the two boxers, who fought each other at least five times. Simonich won by decision in three bouts with the remaining two ending in a draw. On the undercard, Al Rossberg and Frenchie Hinaud fought to a draw in a four-round bout.
