Dawejko vs Fa?

Post by Gnome »

I've seen a report from a NZ news site, stating this bout will be taking place on the 9th of March in Las Vegas. It's the first I've heard of it and a massive step for Fa.

Does anyone know anything about this fight? And who would you favour?

I think Joey Dawejko would win.

I would be curious to see that. Dawejko is not a particularly good gatekeeper, but he is good enough to give Fa a much harder test than he's ever had.

It is a shame that there is such a size mismatch, though. Dawejko is like a fat LMW. 5' 10", 70" wingspan (shorter than Mayweather's). Fa has got an actual 10.5" wingspan advantage on him; which basically means he's not even the same species.

I seen Fa just KO Pittsburgh heavyweight Fred Latham. Brutal 1st round KO. Latham was really overweight and is trained by some beefy mustached Pittsburgh bum that I ain’t seen in years until this fight. As for Joey D the little Philly Pollock, sorry but I can’t type or even pronounce that godforsaken last name, is WAY to little to be fighting big heavies. I don’t know his weight but he outta think about dropping down to the cruiser ranks. Don’t know much about either......but I’d go for Fa by size alone. In KOing Latham, Fa showed power and good hand speed for a big man.

I like Dawejko (pronounced Da-wee-co I believe) he's tough and comes to fight. He is pretty inactive these days though, and will be dwarfed by the much bigger Fa.

He's a decent test for Fa, assuming he hasn't gone backwards and on that basis probably a better opponent than Latham. At his best Dawejko would be Fa's best opponent to-date since leaving the amateurs.

Fa's in much better condition these days and will come in to this fight the lightest he's ever been. The Hunter Sam fight was a good wake up call for him where he has been taking his career very seriously after almost going down in that fight.
