Post Weigh In Groves Eubank Poll

Post by Taansend »

I know, there's about two dozen threads on this fight but now the fight is 30 hours away who do you reckon will win.

Choose carefully as you can't change your mind :D

Groves looked haunting. Eubank looked fresh and ready to go.
I've got to edge toward Groves but I am not confident in that pick at all...

Why was Groves so light for a big super middle ?

Josh Taylor said that Groves has up'd his cardio for this fight.

Seeing as Eubank is a fast, volume puncher with a good chin maybe Groves has trained/prepared for that style of fight

Possibly,i would have thought he'd try to make the most of the weight advantage though, bet yeh, maybe he realises he will have to keep up with a high pace if he doesn't stop Eubank early.

Groves will put on weight. Eubank won't. I think groves will be around 175lbs by fight time.

He will set traps and get jnr falling onto his right hand.

Groves.

I keep hearing about Jr's stamina and speed, but when the heck did people start favouring speed over timing?

fundamentals count, and whilst I acknowledge eubank has some great attributes when it comes down to fundamentals there is no comparison. I will back timing over speed all day long. I've said it before, eubank will throw a flashy combo followed by an uppercut from tier 2 and get caught by a huge counter in the mid rounds,... Let's say round 5. He can't help himself, especially when he realises Groves won't be trying to match volume.

Groves by ko. Billy joe hit Eubank flush a number of times. Groves will do the same and he bangs, you can't take big shots all night. Look at the Gassiev vs Dorticos fight the other week. Dorticos wasn't even flinching at Gassievs shots early but couldn't take em for the full 12

I agree.

It’s like when I watch Worlds Strongest Man at Christmas - they give the heights in centimetres and weights in kg.

Fook knows what they mean - why can’t they just say he is 6’4” and 20 stone then I would know exactly what they are on about?

So did Groves lose the title on the scales, seeing as he was over 12 stone according to you? How many ounces do you think are in a pound?!

How is saying he was 11st 13 saying he's over 12 stone? Or do you mean the other post where I got the maths briefly wrong?
