Somehow the rules say:
"If you want to change your previous pick, it is recommended that you ALWAYS create a new post and NEVER edit -- and in a combo thread, never include fights that have already started in your new post. You CAN opt to edit your original post, but in a combo thread, you may make a previously completed fight's pick INVALID if you edit after it started due to the "edit date".
