Groves looked done winning the title, that was his final throw of the dice when he threw the kitchen sink at Zeuge just before the ref jumped in.

If Zeuge made it out the round Groves was being stopped 100%.

Same with Cox.... He landed a peach of a body shot but was already beginning to blow in round 4!

Just look at the relief when you won.... You would think he beat GGG never mind a British level fighter who was moving up in weight.

He hasn't the engine to stay with Eubank at this point in his career.

And that should be clear to see for anyone with a pair of eyes. 8 or 9 rounds and someone put a fork in him he's done! :OhYes:
wow. a lot of big statements there. specially when you don't know who Groves won the title against!

Apologies to all... It should have said Chud. Other than that. The rest will prove to be 100% correct. If Groves wins, come back tomorrow and gloat. But it won't be happening

I've seen that line a couple of times, 'Groves would have been knocked out by Chudinov... (but he knocked him out first)', he would have been in real trouble if he hadn't knocked the bloke out.

I mean, its an awful lot surer that Groves knocked Chudinov out, than whatever may or may not have happened after

but, it's ok, you've got eyes to see, Chduinov would have knocked him out next round FACT (if he hadn't got brutally sparked out cold by a barrage of about 60 heavy punches...) ;-)

Sparked out? I'm sure he was stopped on his feet!

I didn't say the next round... It could have took 2 or 3, all I'm saying is groves had shot his bolt.

Yes, groves won. You can't say fairer than that. It's all coulda, shoulda, wouldas.... Isn't it?

But if you can't recognise his gas tank was empty then get stuck it to tonight's fight and see what happens....

like you say, we'll see.

Sparked out? I'm sure he was stopped on his feet!

exaggeration, apologies

jamamb made the point the other day that Groves may just have slightly unfortunate body language which over-emphasises his stamina issues. although, personally, in the first Froch fight I'm one of the ones who thinks it is FACT that Froch would have stopped him shortly after Foster stepped in, so...

Seriously hope George groves gets the better of jnr tonight :bag:

I can't shake this feeling that it's jnrs fight but groves can definitely win here and I hope he does,, he's the more accomplished and experienced fighter and if he sticks to boxing, works the body and picks his shots properly he has a big chance, jnr still very crude boxing wise to me

16 ounces in a pound, 14 pounds in a stone.

Same as you can call summat 20lb instead of 1st 6lb, you can have 20oz or more as a measure. And it's obviously shorter to write than 1lb 4oz.
Well actually 20oz is 1lb 6oz, not 1st 6lb :bag:
Surely it’s 1lb 4oz

faarrrrkkkkk it is too! I followed his bloody 6 without calculating. Damn

I agree with most of that - they're both top pros and came in looking good.,
Ring-walks, however - they ARE revealing..
How so?
Oliver McCall about to burst in to tears, Jeff Lacy looking like a shy kid on the first day of school, the controlled burning rage in Lennox's eyes before Rahman II, the fear in Bruno's eyes freezing his shoulders coming out for Tyson II, the mad over-confidence of Anthony Farnell high-fiving the crowd before Takaloo....
just off the top of my head. - sure there are more - times when you can see in the ringwalk that the fight has already started and the odds are changing before your very eyes.
I see. How did Dorticos look in his ring walk?

He will set traps and get jnr falling onto his right hand.
I would say groves will have put on between 14-18lbs at least by now

Eubank looked very composed at the weigh in. Tough fight to call but I think he wins late on after a few rocky moments while behind on points. RSC R11 for Jr.

his first three chances were: froch, froch, jack (split decision for jack). all of those are very good fighters and vastly bigger and more proven at smw than eubank

eubanks best opponents: abrham (clowned by froch years before and clearly faded) and bjs (split for bjs)

i like eubank too but your logic is weak. it would mean far more if eubank had actually beaten someone on froch or jacks level. you cant say groves has lost to anyone eubank proved hes better or as good then, and you cant say eubank beat anyone who proved there better then groves.
I think Eubank is better than a Badou Jack myself
:o
Of course Jack has done more FOR NOW. Eubank will have the better career. Watch
