Eubank-DeGale anyone?

Post by keithmoonhangover »

Isn't this the perfect fight for them both? Big crowd, big purses. Winner is back on top. :OhYes:

It would have exactly the same result. Degale is a better boxer than Groves, he'd make Eubank look crap again

The fight wont be competitive unless Eubank makes serious changes behind the scenes.

If degale can win his rematch and prove he's still got it then this is the obvious fight to make. Degale always been a slick fighter and could absolutely school eubank but that his laziness and tendency to switch off could make it interesting at times. Groves stayed switched on for about 95% of that fight last night, doubt degale would.

No, Eubank should go back to middleweight.

Degale is slagging off Eubank so it suggests he wants the pay day.

Jr will go back down a weight, not sure where it will take him but a lucrative rematch with BJS?

I'd rather see Eubank vs Cox or Murray at 160. I'd even accept Langford. He needs to step down a class and learn how to effectively work around a jab and range. He needs to learn how to shut down the distance and cut people off, and he needs to be matched against appropriate sized fighters.

I think the point is what does Eubank need as a fighter. For me its some rehab - he needs to learn how to be effectively aggressive, how to deal with a mobile fighter, and how to take direction. He needs to understand that without a strategy you will never beat a top flight fighter even if you have all the physical advantages in the world.

If I were his coach I'd be saying to him, he needs to spend the next year working hard on his game and fighting difficult opponents on undercards, european level fighters who are stylistically bad matches for him, as that is the only way he will improve enough to be a serious threat at world level, otherwise everyone will know if you box Chris Eubank Jr you will win 9 or 10 of the twelve rounds.

I don't think its a simple as who does he fight next, he needs an honest look at himself and to go back to the drawing board.
