Are you drunk man! Against who? What are his strengths? Not a puncher, terrible feet, one dimensional and cannot change up mid fight. He’s fit and takes a punch fairly well. Talking absolute pish, having a famous dad and posting self help mantras on social media does not a world class fighter make!!!!!!

Double edged sword for eubank. At middleweight, GGG/Alvarez batter him/BJS makes him look silly. He called out that crap guy who beat degale... that’s about his limit

There were no adverts, but the gaps between rounds was a bit odd (on my stream, at least) - the commentary all stopped, but they didn’t have a proper mic in either of the corners, so it was basically just crowd noise for a minute?

How was Eubank betting favourite? Clueless out of range and wild close up. About the only thing he did well was catch Groves with lead left hooks towrads the end, although even then Groves was starting to time him with the straight right. You can't make Groves wilt if you won't take any chances for the first 6 rounds...

To be fair i was no booster of Eubank pre fight but I think he showed enough against a much bigger man that a man 10lbs smaller and with slightly less than Groves's skill and power would be fvkced against him.

The difference in the fight for me was groves was able to negate Eubank inside with the holding one arm and being slippery. Groves didnt tire as I expected. Eubank has the kind of style that he looks like hes losing the round if he stays on the outside because he doesnt have pot shots or jabs and is just waiting to launch an attack. Mayweather may do nothing for a round but he will land the occasional lead right hand or fast jab and get out of there, as boring as it can be. When you miss wild punches, that looks like you were outboxed and made to miss. When youre coming forward and missing it just looks like you are being outboxed.

I understand eubank thought he could get to groves and take him out after putting on a lot of pressure. So did I. He came for the KO tonight whereas groves came to be a counter puncher and spoil and negate Eubank up close. I dont really know what eubank could have done differently. If he had developed a jab and maybe some lead rights he may ave matched groves on the outside. As he is, he isnt able to compete from range and is literally relying on his inside work and relentlesslness being too much.

I think he may have beaten degale with that style and callum smith would just be a tear up but when you come up again good spoilers like groves and saunders, its a bad style match up. Canelo is capable of fighting that fight too and he did it against Triple G.

Probably too late for eubank to change. The bar I was watching the fight in was pro groves at the start but people started cheering eubanks attacks because they could see how much he was trying and it was causing exciting exchanges at times. I can understand his frustration because he was bringing the fight. but unfortunately the way boxing is scored, you had to give it to groves.

I had it 10 2 to Groves. I thought he could have stopped him a couple of times in the later rounds if he'd wanted to. He was happy to keep the fight at his distance though so fair enough.

Groves looked good tonight. Eubank was one dimensional though. Groves is underrated as a technician by many. He knows his way around the ring.

Can't see Groves being fit for the final now though so we may see Eubank in against the winner of the other semi.

I had it 117-112 and thought groves scored 1 knockdown aswell.

Groves showed how important the jab is. Once jnr realised he couldnt bumrush groves due to the stiff jab he was out of ideas bar wild swings that i think i ducked in pompey.

the only thing that surprised me about this fight is that Eubanks chin held up to the challenge. Who in their right mind could of picked Eubank with all his flaws to beat a Groves.

Under any scoring that makes sense. You don't and shouldn't win anything from rushing in, mostly missing and getting countered.

Groves has a lovely hard jab, and I believe he hurt Jr early on with it.
I scored it same as you + the KD

That just felt desperate didn't it? I'll find the weakest champion out there and call him out.

That and saying that if George has dislocated his shoulder does that mean I go through to the final.

I had a better opinion of Eubank. His boxing IQ is pretty low, he was primitive and careless in the offence. Groves had a rational style, he was good with his defence and counters. Eubank's windmill swings had been nothing against Groves' boxing abilities.
