Rios is just gonna march straight into Danny's counters like a moth into a bug zapper all night

Garcia looks asleep in there. Terrible performance so far considering how easy his opponent is to hit. Assuming he will step it up eventually.

Yeah he's just kinda going through the motions. He's winning, but it's definitely a cruise control kinda performance.

Well you were right diddy. Was looking like it was gonna be another lopsided decision, but Rios wound up getting caught with a big right hand, and that's all she wrote.

Rios' chin is gone. Dude would've shrugged that off a while back.

If his team really cares about him he will never fight again, but you know he will. Keep him in there then against cans, not world level opposition.

Yeah with the way he fights he doesn't need to keep going anymore, but he probably will. Hopefully he's at least matched appropriately from here on out.

Wouldn't be surprised if they finally do that Ortiz vs Rios "Grudge match" now since Ortiz got "Draw" tonight.

Rios is completely shot. He really needs to call it quits. Dude used to have a hell of a chin. His punch resistance has gone and he has no pop in his punches anymore.

Still a good shot by Garcia considering how durable Rios can be.

I've thought, it would have been a TKO with Rios on his feet, but Rios hasn't been able to take that clean shot. Anyway that was a mismatch.

Give Rios some credit here. The guy has had an amazing career considering the talent level he was working with. He won a few rounds last night IMO and got caught on the button by one of the best WW's on the planet. He was up before the count too. I thought he made for a tough fight for Danny last night while it lasted.

DG claims he is up for fighting Spence, so we will see soon if he is serious. Also in an interview Porter wants to fight now in June, but he didn't mention Spence as a possible opponent.

My guess is they will take the easier option, and fight each other rather than go for Spence's belt.

Porter-Alexander?

Probably not a terribly entertaining bout but realistic.

Garcia looks like he needs another tuneup bout before tackling Spence or any of the other top PBC welters.

Last night's fight wasn't exactly the 35-1 mismatch most expected, despite Rios looking slow and chunky.

I had Garcia up 5-3, so it wasn't an easy night.

Of course there's a question as to whether Garcia is truly elite at 147. From his bout with Malignaggi thru last night, Garcia simply hasn't established himself in my eyes as a true welterweight threat.

Porter mauls and beats him.

Porter/Garcia is the fight to make. I'm sick of PBC leaving these guys on the shelf for a year at a time just to fight no-hopers.

I meant Porter and Garcia fight each other, instead of either guy vs Spence in June. Ortiz and Alexander are not a big challenge for any of the top welters, imo.

I understand. I'm just saying that Garcia might want to go in an easier direction than Porter. Especially since he looked rusty against Rios.

Porter is probably a pick'em fight. Garcia could get sharper with much less risk by tackling Alexander instead of Porter

Porter would be up for it though. He'll fight anyone---except Spence.

Alexander would even have some chances. If I had to guess, he will fight Ortiz next.

I take it the "he" you refer to is Garcia.

Ortiz is obviously a more fan friendly fighter. Much more aggressive than Alexander and carrying some pop.

And of course being Latino certainly helps in attracting eyeballs.

But Ortiz badly swollen and cut eye last night figures to keep him out of the ring for a while.

Alexander didn't seem any worse for wear. But he has turned into a somewhat dull, safety first fighter.

A fight with Garcia would not be a backburner.
