Who wins if they fight now?
Who wins if they fight now?
I know this poll has probably been done many times.
But in light of recent results, DeGale losing to a mediocre opponent (in large part due to taking an opponent lightly) and Groves' result of exposing Eubank Jr to being decent in his mind only, who wins if they fought now.

Groves close UD similar to the first fight. Groves, although always very vulnerable, has showed considerable improvements. Degale seems to have regressed

He's so vulnerable, he's only man has ever beaten him inside the distance in a long, top class career! He's got stamina issues, too, don't forget.danconnollyeire wrote: ↑19 Feb 2018, 06:03 Groves close UD similar to the first fight. Dunno who you're sarcastically preaching too mate. I'm a big Groves fan. He's proved his stamina isn't bad at all but the fact he's vulnerable is that... a fact. He's gone wobbly on shots all the way up and I know I've watched him closely for yearsmickey1975 wrote: ↑19 Feb 2018, 06:27He's so vulnerable, he's only man has ever beaten him inside the distance in a long, top class career! It's still close but Groves takes it on points for me...

Re: Who wins if they fight now?
Their careers have been peaks and troughs, with one seemingly always on the ascendency whilst the other is in freefall. At the moment George is well and truly on the up, Degale at rock bottom.
After their fight, I remember watching Degale struggling with journeymen whilst groves was having his first fight with froch and seeing his stock rise meteorically, even in defeat. Degale then, a bit ironically, recorded his best win (on paper anyway, unbeaten American trained by Andre wards trainer I think) on the undercard of Groves getting smashed off Froch. Degale then goes on to clinch his world title whilst goves is rebuilding. Fast forward a couple of years or so and Groves has won and defended his world title and won a huge domestic dust up whilst degale gets battered of an unheralded challenger.
Always been a Groves fan, whilst not really liking Degale. That said, I hope james rediscovers his form in his rematch. Groves wins the WBSS, which would set it all up nicely for there career defining rematch.
Groves will win, btw!!

His shoulder could be a big issue, it's the sort of injury which could end a career.

Groves a nailed on cert for me. I've never seen DG pull a 12 round stint without going missing for large chunks...... maybe that's why they call him chunky
I hate DG's little feeler jab too...... it serves absolutely no purpose, it's the sort of thing you do when you play spar with a kid.

They should actually have the fight, whilst they are both injured.
Might make interesting viewing, two one-armed men.

DeGale looked shot last time out
Groves beats him with more to spare than in their first fight

Only if you badly damage the bone. It doesn't look as though that's the case and the fact it was popped out for a few mins only prob means it's ok
