WBSS The Day After - Groves vs Eubank Jr

Post by BitPlayer »

Eubank displays his excellent knowledge of all things fistic with his comment on the jab
It's meant for tactics
You can see why he doesn't need a trainer.

The bit in his dressing room after the fight is telling. Asking people what they thought of the fight and decision and not one person wants to answer him. Initially thought his team being a bunch of yes-men might be his choice but when he had to say something like "guys just be real" I almost felt sorry for him.

He couldn’t take the hint that he clearly lost even when his dad said it was the right decision. Quite painful watching. And not wanting to go to the presser with the huge lump on his cheekbone, someone had to say dont worry about it you’ve just had a fight. Goes to show a lot of the twatishness is not an act...that in itself is a shame.

In addition I’m no first aider and even less of a cutsman, but I thought sanigar looked nervous when treating the cut, almost panicked. Anyone else think that? I only noticed when watching back, and then in this documentary sr seems to be having a go at him for what I assume is for his work (not sure though and could be off the mark).

Spotted that myself , was shaking like a leaf trying to apply the adrenaline swab .

A few rounds after jnr appeared to push him away and started wiping the cut with a towel .

Felt sorry for him really , imagine having to work for the Eubanks .

Felt for sanigar. There was one clip where he is trying to treat the cut & snr just says give it water and he is like he doesn't need water.

Was a decent watch and shows the different approaches. Jnr more concerned with showing united players an uppercut than resting.

I thought it was jr asking for water and sanigar saying dont worry about water. Regardless the corner was chaos.

During the fight, the first time Jnr sat down with the cut, Sanigar was shaking and almost scared to touch it and I said so to my missus. A couple rounds later he got in the ring and was on his knees to treat it, bearing in mind the cut is now a foot or two above him and he had to reach for it, I said to the missus "This pudendum needs to fcking stand up," and seconds later he did.

I like Sanigar, met him at an Old Boxers do above a pub in Cornwall once, but frankly his work was close to incompetent but in his defence, that cut was a nasty bustard
