Groves’ Ringwalk
Thought it was excellent. Businesslike, no nonsense, old school.
And who were his security detail, has he used them before ? They looked like actual professionals who clearly knew what they were doing, serious looking dudes.

He is all business these days is Groves, doesn't mess about in or out of the ring, you wont see any showboating off him, nor is he the type to start complaining about low shots and stuff, he just knuckles down like a proper pro

Mickey can confirm to us whether or not his security guards ‘walk heavy.’
Re: Groves’ Ringwalk
George's ringwalks do look good on TV.Very intense, not many fighters do that. Some of them sing their own ringwalk music which does my fcking head in!Youre getting ready for a fight not an audition!
On the flip side I would say maybe it burns some energy with how intense he is.

I had to watch the ring walks separately the next day as I was watching a snide stream. Refused to pay for that. If it was Sky box office or something reliable I wouldn't have minded paying but feck that!
I was going to stream it but the hassle to find one annoys me
It was pretty good though. They didn't have any adverts, not like Sky box office.
Re: Groves’ Ringwalk
First time I've used ITV Box Office & going off comments here I was certainly concerned but worked perfectly.Stuarty wrote: ↑21 Feb 2018, 08:18It worked thoughfightfan95 wrote: ↑21 Feb 2018, 08:14I was sat with my girlfriend and her dad, and I was going on about Groves always uses Spitfire, but when Paint it black come on, they both gave me a very strange look"very different to Spitfire."

Re: Groves’ Ringwalk
A lot of folk had nothing but good things to say about it but I also read there were lots of problems as well. I couldn't get it on for the Usyk v Breidis fight a few weeks ago and ended up having to watch it on Kodi so there was no chance I'd have payed for it. It's a pity because it was a PPV worthy fight IMO and I would've payed if they were more reliable.moogie101 wrote: ↑21 Feb 2018, 08:36First time I've used ITV Box Office & going off comments here I was certainly concerned but worked perfectly.Stuarty wrote: ↑21 Feb 2018, 08:18It worked thoughfightfan95 wrote: ↑21 Feb 2018, 08:14

The bearded bloke, dark hair, has been around him all along. I think it's his brother. I don't think he walks heavy.

Loved the ringwalk too, thought it looked a real event and got the blood pumping
Those boxers who come on to grime or rap are tedious

Anyone coming out to the Rolling Stones gets a thumbs-up from me.
Re: Groves’ Ringwalk
Was brilliant from in the arena.
Proper storming around the ring like he meant business.

FairPlay Groves owns Spitfire.
Impossible for me to hear that song and not think of Groves.
Mentally Groves is stronger now than he’s ever been. He’s finally managed to not get involved with the mind games.

Agree cracking ring walk.
Can't remember who it was on here/or even what thread but someone prior to this fight mentioned how you can't read much in press conferences/weigh in's etc but you can with fighters ring walks. I actually found that true for this one, said to mates I was watching this one with on Saturday that I felt Eubank for the first time looked a bit nervous/tense doing his ring walk, whereas Groves looked bang up for the fight.

Re: Groves’ Ringwalk
It's a proper ring walk
Possibly Groves' most professional performance from fight announcement right through to the decision

Re: Groves’ Ringwalk
The arena was buzzing for his entrance!
With regards to his approach outside the ring it seems learnt the hard way through those Froch bouts, but he has learnt!
His approach outside the ring seems bob on. The majority seem to react well to him.

Re: Groves’ Ringwalk
One of my favourite all time ring walks and as I commented on the RBR thread, it wasn’t ruined by Adam Smith growling and rambling off clichés.
