Askin on points for me. Not been impressed with Simmons
Re: Matty Askin vs. Stephen Simmons - March 17th 2018
Looking forward to this one. I'll be rooting for Simmons but I think Askin takes it on points possibly by late KO but I hope I'm wrong.
Why is Camacho co main?

Camacho is the only other recognisable name on the card so far, i just thought his match would be second to last.
I assume they may match the winners up...

Haven't they not both beaten Camacho? I remember Simmons beat him by late KO a few years back didn't he?wesshaw1985 wrote: ↑21 Feb 2018, 17:26Camacho is the only other recognisable name on the card so far, i just thought his match would be second to last.

Edit.. Just had a look there. He's not fought Askin. Doh!

The Cruiserweight division is exciting at the minute, even the domestic scene has a fun bunch of names to mix and match...Stuarty wrote: ↑21 Feb 2018, 17:28Haven't they not both beaten Camacho? Adkin will wear Simmons down and it’ll be waved off in the tenth.
Cruiserweight will never become the blue riband division for casuals but it should be the purists’ favourite.

Good fight this, both guys are strong and although not KO punchers, they hit pretty hard, i'd like to see Simmons pull it off but I fancy Askin strongly in this one, he's more experienced and durable than Simmons, he's beat some good domestic Cruisers and looked great when he KO'd Kennedy, I can see him nailing and hurting Simmons at some point in the fight and I think he'll get him out of there midway
Re: Matty Askin vs. Stephen Simmons - March 17th 2018
Is this card on TV?
Re: Matty Askin vs. Stephen Simmons - March 17th 2018

Askin wins for me
Re: Matty Askin vs. Stephen Simmons - March 17th 2018
Looks like only Joe Joyce on channel 5. Bit disappointing. Come on hayemaker
Re: Matty Askin vs. Stephen Simmons - March 17th 2018
Oh yeah Hayemaker's new deal is Channel 5 isn't it dumb moment from me thinking it was Dave again.
Shame looks like 5 will only show the joyce fight and poss highlights of this after, what happened to them having the undercards on Spike!

Askin has improved immensely of late, can't see anything but an Askin stoppage win here

Re: Matty Askin vs. Stephen Simmons - March 17th 2018
Fvcking scandalous if we don't get full Askin/Simmons fight, its a British title fight FFS, i'd rather miss Joyce's knockover job
Re: Matty Askin vs. Stephen Simmons - March 17th 2018
Yea be better than watching joyce slap about an overmatched opponent
Re: Matty Askin vs. Stephen Simmons - March 17th 2018
I saw the show doesn't start til 10.30 on C5. Looks as if it's gonna be Joyce live then highlights of the rest. Rank rotten man!

Here is the interview I did last night with Matty Askin.
He's made unique changes leading up to this fight and he might keep them moving forward.

Matty Askin leaves his family to train like Rocky; Aims for bigger fighters after Stephen Simmons
England’s Matty Askin (22-3-1) defends his British title against Scotland’s Stephen Simmons (18-2) this Saturday at York Hall, Bethnal Green.
